Boycott NRA gaining traction

i used to do a lot of target shooting, but no, i have not been a member of the NRA. their current stand against net neutrality is disappointing.

How about GOA?

the NRA just gave the FCC an award for ending net neutrality, so **** them.

The fervor with which they've made the principle of the culture war itself their defining identity is rather remarkable. The Dans Loesch series of videos that came out over the summer demonstrates that they're not about the 2nd amendment or gun safety any longer, but about tribalizing the country as extremely as possible with the purpose of getting as many guns into the public's hands as possible.

It seems that the Boycott NRA campaign is gaining support from some big businesses, including Delta airlines, AVIS, Hertz and others.

This seems like just the start of something that is going to gain momentum. This latest shooting appears to be catalyst which I think will see a significant change...

It should be noted that despite significant backlash against the NRA after decades of their policies resulted in those seventeen kids being murdered, they're still controlling the narrative. When the public uniformly rejects their proposals instead of seriously debating them, then the backlash will be for real. Unfortunately, many more deaths are going to happen before the public wakes up and fully appreciates that the NRA is just an advertising and lobbying firm for the gun manufacturing industry.

These companies are about to be schooled on the danger of messing with the NRA.

Ending the tiny discount to NRA members is a small thing........losing the business of 150 million gun owners is a big thing.

Not all gun owners are support the NRA or are NRA members.

https://www.metro.us/news/the-big-stories/how-many-gun-owners-belong-to-the-nra

Although the National Rifle Association is often referred to as a monolithic force, less than 10 percent of gun owners belong to the NRA, and the organization does not necessarily reflect their views. So how many gun owners belong to the NRA?

The NRA claims it has five million members, according to the Washington Post (which notes that number may be inflated). That's between 6 to 7 percent of the total number of gun owners nationwide: Between 73 million and 81 million gun owners do not belong to the NRA.

And studies show that most gun owners disagree with the organization's views.

Weak effort. But keep trying.

they have become nothing more than muscle for the Republican party, which sucks, as the organization once meant something. however, **** them for this net neutrality overstep. since they have chosen to set themselves against my interests, i will be voting against theirs.

BFD. Thoughts and prayers to all those companies losing all those members business. They will lose more than the pennies they give as a discount.

Why should it? As of yet no one can say what the NRA did that was wrong.
NRA is getting the shaft each time there's a massive shooting.

I know but it's reassuring.

American gun sales are on the rapid decline. Companies like American Brands, Ruger, Vista Outdoors, etc. are on the decline. I refuse to invest in companies that profit from human suffering.

Gun companies have failed to adapt to an ever-changing economy. They lack innovation. Being connected to the NRA has deterred inventors, engineers, etc away from making better guns.

For example, smart gun technology exists. The technology exists for guns to be only shot by the actual owner of the gun where it can identify the fingerprint of the owner. The NRA refuses to endorse such needed technology and that's one reason why gun sales are TANKING..

Bucky.. you are so silly... gun sales were tanking because they boomed with 8 years of people believing that Obama would get gun restrictions passed. With a republican president.. with trump.. the "I better get it now before they outlaw it".. mentality has decreased.

Ummm... so how does it work when we take the firearms out to the range for my Hunters Education students? How does that technology work when those firearms are being handled and shot by maybe 10 different students a piece?

The NRA has no problem with such technology AS LONG as its not mandated.

your whole post is a fabrication bucky. as a lot of your posts are.

This will backfire. Remember Chick Fil A? Yeah. They're expanding.
