I love the fear coming from ignorant righties. No one is taking away your guns. Even those people that own fully automatic weapons that were banned in 1988 still have them. It’s called grandfathered in, maybe if you weren’t curled up in a ball you would actually understand that. It just means you can’t sell it.

Your full of crap to. In 1986 there was an end put to all new registered full auto weapons. This was also the last amnesty period to declare full auto weapons. There is no law that says you can not sell them at all. Pay the transfer tax of $200 and do the paper work and your good to go. My bet is that we do the unthinkable and allow new full auto weapons on the market to satisfy the demand that has legal full auto priced out of reach of some who desire to own them. :2wave:

How can you defend the actions of the people who booed the rape survivor because she wished she'd had a gun to defend herself? That's just one of the links in the OP.

You say righties are "curled up in a ball," and yet that's exactly what the woman wants to avoid in the future - by being able to shoot any mother ****er that ever tries to rape her again.

Lefties are the ones advocating that people curl up in balls and just give in to their attackers.

What kind of ****ed up mindset is that anyway?

Well, I, for one, am very impressed with this thread. I'm sure plenty of children will be spared the fate of those poor kids in Florida (and any number of other places in the endless list) as a direct result. Good job! Calling each other "lefties" and "righties" is the answer!

Actually you just proved me correct. You CAN still own a fully automatic weapon. So no, they aren't "gun take yur guns away".

Show me where I "defended" the actions of those that booed the lady? I commented directly to the person that posted saying he wasn't going to give up his guns. No one is going to take away his guns.

Yet again, I'm laughing at those that think "Der guna take owr guns away".

Lefties are the ones advocating that people curl up in balls and just give in to their attackers.

Nope, I am a full supporter of the 2A and think gun bans in areas do nothing good.

What kind of ****ed up mindset is that anyway?

You obviously since you can't be bothered to actually read.

Gun bans won't do a thing to stop mass shootings, it will simply prevent new generations from protecting themselves for black market guns and grandfathered (pre-ban guns). There are plenty of potential mass shootings stopped by armed citizens. The biased liberal media will claim no mass shootings (but one) was stopped by an armed citizen while ignoring the fact that plenty of shootings were stopped before they could be labeled mass shootings.

The current wave of gun control demands are to make illegal certain features--pistol grip, bump stocks, and such and if those demands were met, it would take some 200+ different makes of guns off the market. The problem is that there would still be 200+ essentially identical guns that would still be legal.

So some idiot at the Rubio rally this week hollered, "That's great. Go ahead and get those 200 guns off the market. It's a good start. And then we can go after the rest."

Which of course is the ultimate goal of the anti-gun crowd. And it is that kind of convoluted thinking and rhetoric that does upset those who believe the right to self defense to be an unalienable God given/natural right.

If you can't sell them it's just like a business not being allowed to hire new employees, soon enough the old ones will die and the company will no longer exist.

I am just shy of a month of being 65 and I've never owned a gun...I am still here...lol...

Everybody already knew there was no chance gun obessives would give up their obession.

How have you lived this long and not learned that anecdote <> data.

I am just shy of a month of being 65 and I've never owned a gun...I am still here...lol...

If that's true then it's most likely because there are rough men who are armed standing ready to risk their lives to insure your safety. That and a bit of luck, since the police can't always be there when something goes down.

What could you have done if some bad person tried to invade your home and take your life? You'd die is all. Some of us want to be able to defend ourselves.

You mean about being obsessed with staying alive? Yes, we're not giving that up.

“Nobody is coming for your guns! We are just going to ban them!”

So what about the attempts to ban all other types of firearms that we own? And when shootings happen with guns not on the ban list? Are you going to ban them?

Good thing you haven’t needed one huh? Because it would suck to have needed one and not had it.

Nope...DH, Dad, sons don't own a gun either...I do have 2 dogs that sound vicious, though...lol...they actually ram the door when someone comes to the door...

There are millions today demanding we ban AK clones and all semi auto's. That's most of the guns currently used. That's taking away guns. There are millions applauding banning bump stocks. That's restricting guns. There are people claiming that the '86 new auto ban was not a ban even though it banned all new production sales and manufacture.

You know what? They should have their automatic weapons taken away.

In Australia, which used to experience American-style gun massacres. After a particularly horrific example in 1996, the government banned assault weapons and bought such weapons back from those who already had them. There have been no massacres since.

If we want to take the problem seriously, we have to act seriously -- and to throw up the smoke screen of "freedom" is a sham. Nobody can seriously argue that Australia isn't a democracy that has freedom.

“Nobody is coming for your guns! We are just going to ban them!”

No one is going to ban ALL guns so easy there.

So what about the attempts to ban all other types of firearms that we own? And when shootings happen with guns not on the ban list? Are you going to ban them?

If it were up to me there would be no bans period. I don't believe in them.

I understand the emotion but if one looks at the actual data, those states with the most firearm deaths are the ones with the weakest gun laws and those states with the strongest gun laws have the least gun deaths.

CDC DATA

For whatever reason, there’s a faction in our country that sees public action for the public good, no matter how justified, as part of a conspiracy to destroy our freedom.

There are not millions that are demanding ALL semi auto's be banned. Also there really isn't a "ban" on the AR15, you can still own them and keep them in your house. You just can't slap it on your back and go walk the city streets. Again, I'm not for bans. If it were up to me, I'd end any ban on firearms, end the drug war, increase incarceration time for criminals that use firearms when committing a crime. Alas, I am not king.

I’m sure they said the same thing in nations that banned firearms. Fact is...there will be bans. What happens when someone kills with a grandfathered weapon? Something else? They ban thosez
