The anti gun crowd and the people who want more government control on guns if not outright bans, they must be having a blast right now with this recent school shooting in Florida. Whenever something like this happens they rejoice because it helps their cause of wanting to further regulate or ban guns. They must be having a big party right now.
 
Well, unlike those trapped behind keyboards in St Petersburg, we aren't working overtime on this issue like some of them may be.

who exactly are you claiming are dumber than stumps. There is no doubt that those whose main goal is to disarm American citizens welcome these tragedies.

Well, considering that 'those whose main goal is to disarm American citizens' are, first a small number and, second, never going to amount to anything, the 'dumber than stumps' crowd would be those who, like th OP, get nearly hysterical imagining what they might be doing and saying. Imagining. What they might be doing. Posting about what they might be doing. The anti gun crowd. Might be.
 
I don’t agree with the anti-gun crowd but I doubt they are rejoicing in the deaths of children.
 
every intensely complicated problem required an even more intensely complicated solution.
These horrible murders are not caused by any one thing.
Therefore only one solution will never solve them.
Especially some agenda driven solution.

...and don't ask "congress" to fix it.
They could not change a light bulb without fifteen different committees looking into it and spending millions.

We need an effective and workable solution or these murders will become a national norm.
That would be an even worse tragedy.

MOM: "Johhny, I got your lunch money, cell phone, backpack and .45 all loaded and ready for you to take to school". "Have a good day and don't get killed".

Anger at the purp- logical response
Empathy for the victims families and freinds- logical response
Turning to a biased political opinion for stronger gun control laws- Kinda missing the logic

I do not think anyone is having a party over this, or feeling any sense of glee; That being said, I do not think they will let this tragedy go to waste either.

I'm sure the NRA and gun manufacturers are celebrating even more since this will no doubt drive another wave of gun sales from the "Thar gun take ar guns away" crowd.

Actually, I see plenty of stupidity from both sides. Anti-gunners screaming "get rid of the guns" and pro-gunners screaming "don't you dare touch my guns". All of it pointless and not looking at actual solutions. Neither side really wants solutions. They just want to protect their political positions.
 
I wanna know why kids used to bring their rifles to school back in the 70's during hunting season, and now all they want to do is shoot up schools?

Our society is ****ed!

Yep, they're ecstatic that 17 people were murdered in cold blood in a school. What a disgusting OP.

bull, nobody is celebrating the death of 17 innocent people, especially not those who are pro-gun control.

In fact they are twice as sad because of the fact that 17 people are dead and secondly that this might have been preventable. So they are not happy, they are depressed and sad for multiple reasons.

what drives the buying up is not the killings but rather the pavlovian gun banning drooling that comes from democrat politicians and leaders of the gun ban movement immediately after these killings.

you spend some time doing some research and yes, there are hard core gun banners who welcome this news
after all, to some on the left, individual lives and rights are no relevance or concern when the "Greater good" is at stake.

I went to a school like that and no one ever got shot. Most of the boys carried pocket knives including buck folding hunting knives and no one got stabbed. But no one-to the best of my knowledge, was being doped up either. drugs back then meant antibiotics, aspirin or some weed here and there

No, what drives up sales is not the calls for gun bans, it's the idiots that think that guns will actually be banned and they better go out and buy one now before the legislation is passed.
