They would think twice before selling a gun....perhaps choosing not to sell it or even buy it in the first place. Now, that is winning.

It's not fair nor legal. You can't predict the future. You're saying that if a gun store sold a gun to a long time trusted customer and that night the customer's house got burglarized and the thieves broke in the safe and took all of his guns, the gun store and possibly the customer would be charged with accessories for murder if the stolen gun was used to kill someone?

Well, I guess at some point, when the system allows the police to murder unarmed citizens in the streets and motel hallways, even on camera, with impunity, you've already sodomized any semblance of "law and order". Calm down, no one indicated "justified", just a lack of surprise and faux outrage.
