It has nearly been 40 years since John Lennon was shot to death

Nonsense. There have been countless small steps suggested to curb gun violence by countless posters, lawmakers and citizens in general. You reject all of them out of hand.

Blood is on your hands.

If they aren't Constitutional, effective or enforceable, they should be rejected out of hand. If you weren't able to convince enough of you friends and neighbors around the country that your ideas were all of that, resulting in a blue government, then you should own that blame.

Yes it is.

No it isn't. That's pure hyperbole on your part, and you know it. The only person responsible for those deaths yesterday is the killer. Collective guilt is not real.

So, bodies pile up while gunners say "it's not the guns." Blood is on the hands of the gun zealots.

His having an arsenal is on the gun zealots. They are the guilty accomplices.

Any "blood on the hands" is on those who continue to propose unconstitutional, unenforceable or ineffective solutions knowing that they will never be implemented. Had you and your ilk worked towards real world solution with gun owners we might actually have some effective measures in place.

Explain. Are two handguns, one a .22, an "arsenal"?
Convenient of you to not include the AR

Check out the picture from his FB that he posted and was shown in the Heavy article I linked earlier. Arsenal.

I call Bull****.

Right Wing gun zealots will blame abortion, gays, Mexicans, Blacks, Muslims and liberals for every ill in society, but one look at guns, and they holler, "It isn't the guns!"

Convenient of you to forget that the VT shooter had just two handguns, one a .22, and was limited to ten round magazines, yet killed almost twice the number of victims in his shooting.

No, it isn't. I did not enable nor cause that madman to attack those children in that school, no matter how much you wish to make this a pro-2A issue. Any continuation of this line of attack is just spite on your part designed to make you feel better about not actually doing anything to stop violence.

I don't care if you admit it or not. The blood is still on your hands.

Yeah, let's cherry pick a shooting from--what?--5 years ago.

It's still a valid example of what a shooter armed with a single handgun with 10 round magazines can do in a gun free zone with full grown adult victims. Even if all AR-15s and any magazine that holds more than 10 rounds magically disappeared overnight, our schools would still be vulnerable to a mass shooting where we could expect up to 30 dead victims. The popular solution of the day does nothing.

I could cherry pick the mass shootings using "assault weapons" from say 2008-2010, a very turbulent period in our recent history, but I'd have an empty basket. 5 million "assault weapons" in citizens' hands, and for three years not one was used in a mass shooting. We had a year like that as recently as 2014.

Please stop with stating irrelevant facts. Every country has violence yet they don't have the massive gun deaths like the United States.

Personally, I would like to see the New York gun laws be adopted nation-wide and see a federal gun registry. Every gun purchase should require a simple psychological test.

Is it perfect? Of course not, however, I can almost guarantee if these policies get adopted, in the long-term our country will be safe.

We would still have a higher rate of gun related deaths, only with illegal weapons as the tool.

We can say the same thing about ypu and your gun free zones. Do you think there was one person in that shooting that thought to himself "boy, I'm sure glad I'm nkt armed or anyone else besides the badguy. Those gun free sign work wonders!"?

Too many idiots with easy access to guns do make signs worthless.

have you ever come up with a workable, constitutional and practical way to Keep "idiots" from getting guns-knowing that "idiot" is not a disqualifying feature as set forth in the 18 USC 922 ban on certain groups (felons, etc) from owning guns.

We already know that you don't believe in gun control.

I believe in criminal control, which works
I guess your reticence to answer proves you really aren't interested controlling crime

Anything to avoid addressing gun control, right TD?

And what measures do you propose that will limit these idiots with guns?

Many have been suggested and brought before the Congress over the years.
