HR 38 passes House

You responded "your logic is faulty" to BretJ. How is his logic faulty?

Not quite sure where he was going. First he questioned the idea that the typical New Yorker or Californian cannot be expected to CCW safely. Then he gets his knickers in a twist when I explain that I realize that's not true. Waiting to get some sort of clarification of where he was going.

My friend is an ex NYC police officer. He doesn't keep his weapon in the house nor does he use it in his security business. Your logic is faulty.

"He kept his gun in quiet seclusion
such a humble man"

not having it where you are-not much use

I'm not the one with the professional training or 20 years of police service. He also runs his own security agency. I'm sure you know better though.

I wonder if his actions are based on need or the laws.

Are you suggesting that his behavior is the rule rather than the exception?

You missed my question. Where is my faulty logic? Which of my statements was incorrect? You took exception to both.

I've worked and trained with NYPD officers, and it's always been interesting to me how some of them are as fiercely pro-gun as any right winger despite tending to have more moderate political views... and others hated guns, were barely able to quality with them, and refused to keep them around on their own time. I know at least one that was murdered because of that ill-advised viewpoint; due to running into someone they had sent to prison who recognized them in plainclothes and immediately pulled a gun on him. He was begging for his life when the thug shot him in the face....
