A simple question, how many guns do you think a person should own, do you think there should be a limit or no limit? Me personally I barely own any guns as seen in the picture

that is minus the 1851 colt replica which hides in a box because it was an anniversery edition and too nice to shoot.

as many as you have room for in your safes!.

YOU HAVE 8 GUNS!!!! THAT'S TOO MANY!!!! LOOK AT ALL OF THEM ASSAULT WEAPONS!!! YOU'RE A NRA STOOGE AND ALL OF YOUR GUNS SHOULD BE TAKEN AWAY!!! (except 1 of your bolt actions so that you're rights aren't violated..but still got to get rid of the straps on em!)

note...that was sarcasm for those that can't tell...

Hey, whatever helps you cum harder.

Is the lower revolver a Heritage 22? Try CCI "quites" you can shoot in the yard (with an adequate backstop, needless to say) Very quite.

beats leaving sarcastic and making unproductive posts on threads without contributing to the actual conversation. Let me think, I remember some gave a name to posters like that...hmmm

I don't own any, but I sure love the classic look of those black powder guns. All of them. I wanted to get a Dragoon in a box with all of the accessories, but not shoot it. She said why buy it if you aren't going to shoot it? I didn't have a good answer other than the "cool" factor.

One more than you want.

Assuming that all law makers understood that the 2nd amendment is a constitutionally protected right that prevent governments ability to put a limit on ownership of firearms. The obvious answer is there is no such thing as to many firearms.

If it was up to liberals, and Vegas Giant we would all be stuck with single shot 22 short rifles, with an ammo allowance of 10 bullet per year.

Lots of fun to shoot, giant cloud of dense, white smoke and ewww that smell! A pain to clean, though. I might fire 30 rounds a year. Some time back, I shot a sow hog from about 80 ft, lead ball went thru both lungs, stopped just under the hide on the far side. It ran 15 ft and dropped, let out 2 death squels and gave up the ghost. Good eating. First big game animal I ever killed. Bout time for another!

what the bannerrhoid movement ignores is this

the second amendment is a negative restriction on the government. the government doesn't suddenly get the power to ban YOUR NEXT gun acquisition based on how many times you have bought in the past.

Did you guys post in the wrong thread, or did you mean to erect your own strawman to "take down"?

I don't know of any federal gun control proposal that limits the total quantity of firearms you can own. I've literally never heard of one.

But i guess if you want to fantasize about something to whine about, hey, it's a free country.

one of the proposals Democrats have floated is a limit on how many guns you can buy in a month. It has been proposed in several states and at a federal level

OH so a limitation on batch sales which fuel the black and gray arms markets.

Surely a law abiding citizen would only be interested in protecting other law abiding citizens RKBA?

this law abiding former DOJ prosecutor opposes stupid laws that are restrictions on what honest people can do

That lever on the rio grande by rossi or taurus or whatever they call themselves now allows me to take out helicopters and tanks!!!! actually no joking that was an actual rant by ted kennedy when he was alive that we need to ban 30-30 lever actions because they could be used to take out helicopters.

Gun banners hope that appeal to emotion, overrides logic.

I don't know about a dragoon model, but a basic confederate model colt can be had for around 150-200 bucks as a nie wall hanger, a union version about 50 bucks more, the only difference being the confederate version was brass framed due to their shortage of steel during the war while the union versions were steel framed with brass trigger guards.

As far as the google search for a colt dragoon 360 bucks for a uberti version, much more if you can find the traditions one made by uberti used with the fancy engraving and bluing.

This thread is about what you feel the limit of guns owned should be, I started this thread because of an argument with a friend where she argued I had too many guns and tried to argue a limit of one gun per household should be law. This sparked my interest to see if anyone views limits as a good thing and if they do how much, it is more to guage the opinion that a specific gun control topic.

Keep in mind this has been the topic of gun control for decades, just because it has never been a priority push by congress does not mean no one has tried or that no one will try again. So if you will kindly give an answer, debate your answer, or just give it and don't debate, either way this thread has a purpose.
