Gun banning Groups

duh, they are part of the many groups that want to prevent honest Americans from owning commonly used firearms. these groups prove that when anti gun advocates claim "NO ONE WANTS TO BAN GUNS" those anti gun advocates are LYING because Diane Feinstein claims (and I have no reason to disbelieve her claims in this area) that all those groups are gun banning groups

So because she said it then it must be true? Is that your point? That is freaking hilarious

Of course all of these gun people were left off the OP list of endorsers:

International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators
International Association of Chiefs of Police
Major Cities Chiefs Association
National Association of Women Law Enforcement Executives
National Law Enforcement Partnership to Prevent Gun Violence
National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives
Police Executive Research Forum
Police Foundation
Women in Federal Law Enforcement
Chaska, Minn., Police Chief Scott Knight, former chairman of the Firearms Committee, International Association of Chiefs of Police
Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca
Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck
San Diego Police Chief Bill Lansdowne

So there's even more support for a ban? Do any of these or the groups in TD's list support banning M1 Carbines?

We only seem to have the word of Diane Feinstein....someone you completely believe. Lol

this is typical of a vegas pathetic attempt to try to contradict information he doesn't have any clue about. he cannot figure out that if those groups aren't gun banning groups, I am sure some of them would have objected to DIFIs claims. If you actually do some research (LOL) you will find that almost all of those groups invariably support Democrats as well

More lies. Prove they knew anything about this. This is all Feinstein....who you believe completely now. Lol

I believe her when she says she wants to ban ownership of MSR15s.

so you claim Feinstein is lying? that can be the only possible interpretation of your stupid post. and you don't have even the shred of an honest belief that she is. Its another case of you trying to divert and disrupt posts that you don't like but since you don't have any legitimate information you just make crap up.

lets see your evidence that Feinstein would lie about which groups support her gun banning agenda.

You are a big fan of her now. Lol

another stupid lie. No one with a shred of honesty could possibly interpret what he said as what you claim.

Suddenly she is a beacon of truth for you. I love it. Lol

according to arch gun banner Diane Feinstein (D-California) these groups all supported a ban on honest private citizens being able to own commonly owned semi auto rifles. So the next time someone says no one is trying to ban guns, read this list

https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/assault-weapons-ban-endorsements

Some of the groups she claims are gun banners

  • Doctors for America
  • National Association of School Nurses
  • National Physicians Alliance
  • Physicians for Social Responsibility
  • San Francisco Mental Health Association
  • Society for the Advancement of Violence and Injury Research
  • Society of General Internal Medicine

The 2013 AWB grandfathers all existing "assault weapons", doesn't ban the Mini14, the gun used by the Norway mass shooter and still allows the "New York Assault Weapon" to be sold. It's more security theater.

true, I think even Feinstein understands what would happen if she tried to confiscate millions of rifles. but I think more current versions are even more idiotic. the fact is, when gun banners claim no one is trying to ban guns its a blatant lie,

They are coming....lol

I'm all for a voluntary registration for anyone wanting to register their firearms. If there was such a system I would personally require a firearm I sold to be registered by the New owner as a condition of the sell.

what good is that? other than to CYA? do you think it would have any impact on criminals?

It is nothing more than a CYA no illusions about it. Protecting myself and my loved ones has many levels.

let's start with the dishonest thread title: "Gun banning Groups"

those organizations want to regulate guns, not violate the second amendment

there is a specific category of guns that those organizations propose to make unlawful to bear

not unlike the present unlawful category of machine guns

and even for machine guns, there are stringent requirements one must follow and still be able to legally own such weapons

so, once again, the OP has misrepresented the intent of those identified organizations seeking a particular reform of gun laws to instead insist they are indeed gun "banners"

Banning the right to keep and bear any class of firearms makes one a gun banner.

From the PTA letter linked in the OP:

"The proposed legislation falls in line with National PTA’s positions on gun violence prevention and
National PTA agrees with Sen. Feinstein in that Congress must act to:
Ban the sale and possession of military-style assault weapons;
 Ban large-capacity ammunition feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds;"

That's a ban no matter how you word it, and it's significantly more strict that the NFA 1934.

no, it makes one a gun regulator

just as the stringent restrictions imposed on machine gun owners did not in any way prevent a citizen his/her right to bear unregulated arms

once semi automatic arms are prohibited from being publicly borne that will not prevent citizens from continuing to exercise their second amendment right to bear (other) arms

voila, no banning of guns
