I hear it all the time-all we want is "sensible gun control" or
"common sense gun control"

wrong. lots of Democrats want bans. bans on all kinds of stuff

Ha, I was planning on buying a new CC pistol and an AR-15 tomorrow. Looks like gun sales are going to shoot up if that bill gets any traction.

I 100% agree. Many that want to gun regulation don't even know what they want and would support any gun control just on the basis something is better than nothing. This is the same position many on the left have on healthcare - let's get something done right now and worry about the costs after.

A gun ban though is a good thing IMO however many that support gun control doesn't have the will or courage to fight for their convictions.

yeah, I have bunch of well made but sort of run of the mill versions of AR 15s I could make some money on or at least clear some space.

The thing is though, we will win. The American people won't allow their brothers and sisters to get killed by guns every day and do absolutely nothing.

A full gun ban will happen. It doesn't have the support right now however it will soon. Hop on the bandwagon while there is still room my friend.

I realize lots of left-wingers feel an almost impulsive need to try to defend Democrats on their schemes against the NRA and gun owners but that was really stupid

I doubt that. More and more people realize how disgusting the motivations of the anti gun side is. They realize its not about saving lives, its about political jihads. The good news is that the more people know about guns, the less likely they are to be bannerrhoid movement members. And people like you need people skilled in using weapons to enforce your bans, but most of them will be on our side. Which means the gun banners like you will have to try to impose gun bans on armed people without having much support from other armed people

It isn't that type of ban, it is one similar to the Full Auto ban from 86. Buy a few $600 rifles now, turn around and sell them 10 years later for a few grand. Thinking I might buy 5 or so just in case.

Wonder how those convictions would hold up if they said WELL BUCKY the bill passed and we need you leading the charge door to door. Would you wash your pants on the spot or in front of the first door you stood in front of. I say #1 on the spot and #2 in front of the door.

I think Bucky should start by trying to seize the AR 15 owned by the guy who shot down the Texas killer. After all-the bannerrhoid movement knows that guy certainly has one!!

I find it hilarious how those anti-2nd amendment trash try to claim that as long as you are allowed to own a flintlock then your right to keep and bear arms has not been infringed. However I wonder if that if the only abortions allowed were those doctors say are needed to save the mother. Would those anti-2nd amendment trash say that person's "right" to abortion has not been infringed or that abortions are not banned?

I think each time a crisis happens and the banners rehash the laundry list, the public sees more of the movement for what it is.

The current ban list is more a ban on bolt on accessories than guns. Suppressors, bump stocks, barrel shrouds, thumb hole stocks, bayonet mounts, detachable mags. Any or all can change a Ruger 10/22 into a full blown assault rifle similar to an AR 15. None have ever figured into a crime. People understand this.

You will lose, and it wont be how you would think. The tide has already turned and the tsunami is incoming, you just don't know it. See the thing about weapons and arms in general is anything can be made into one. People focus on one thing when the thing that gets em is the one they never see coming. Firearms are simply one innovation in a very long list of innovations starting with the rock. Firearms are symbols, and symbols change over time, from relevant to irrelevant back and forth. By the time people figuring out that banning or restricting firearms is pointless it will be far too late to ban or restrict the real arms of the future. Firearms are essentially at their pinnacle to be relegated as relics of the past replaced by a better more flexible and superior class of arms.

Very few people will fight the government should they come knocking. Most will tuck their tail between their legs and cower. Only those with unusual conviction or are exceptionally well armed will stand up or stand up to the government. There are very few of those.
