Read Waldman's THE SECOND AMENDMENT and you will see that the decisions you like from the Supreme Court came after a careful quarter of a century right wing campaign and are the outlier with our history.

Guess it's hard for you to understand that people across the country will never fall for nonsense from the anti's. Never ever!
Every NRA member stays very active in politics. That is why we win over and over. With the support of millions people of every color, male and female,
young and old. We won't stand by and watch people who have no clue what they are talking about try to take away a god given right.

If a wall is going to be built it should be built to house the criminals that use firearms illegally to rob or harm innocent people.
Pass a new law that if you use a firearm in the commission of a felony you go to jail for 50 years. No early outs, no parole. 50 years in jail!
Time will be served in a prison in another state other where the crime occurred. Give this new law a year or two and criminals won't touch a gun!

The point is that the NRA and the political right wing is NOT defending the Second amendment. They have hijacked it and are perverting it.

The current interpretation is what Scalia wrote in Heller. I take it you aren't okay with that.

When you hijack the Supreme Court it makes it easier to then hijack parts of the Constitution. Read Waldman and you will see the history of the effort.

Trump put a stop to the hijack of the Supreme court with Justice Neil Gorsuch. And in the next 3 years he will probably name another justice.

Heller in effect uncoupled the "militia" clause from the "keep and bear" clause. It holds that the 2nd clause can stand alone.

I would love to ask Madison what he really meant there, but that's not an option.

Cruikshank effectively decoupled "right to keep and bear" from the Second Amendment.
