Well.. that's absurd. Its already illegal to knowingly transfer or sell a firearm to a known felon.

If they are not seeing their grandkids.. or no their grandkids at all. Why are they transferring their firearm to their grandkid?

And If the grandkid is a felon.. he is committing another felony.

And who are you to say that a granddad doesn't know if his own grandson that he is transferring a firearm to is a felon?

Seriously man.. you are so absurd when it comes to these issues.

You are lambasting me for thinking that the vast vast vast majority of grandfathers that are going to transfer a firearm to their grandson.. well actually know their grandson.

And you on the other hand are arguing that the vast number of grandfathers who are going to give their .22 to their grandson.. have no idea whether that grandson has been convicted of a FELONY..

And therefore.. its important that grandpa put his grandson through a background check. Oh and each and every time he transfers a firearm to him.

we should have an objective board review every post vegas wants to make before its allowed to be aired. just as reasonable as his silly schemes.

I am asking you to fill out a form....not climb mount everest. My god you people act like the paper is made out of a special kryptonite that kills pro gunners. Trust me....you will survive.

Wrong.

You are asking me to travel down to my nearest FFL. Which for me is about 40 minutes away. then, I have to fill out a form and undergo a background check.. for usually a cost of 20 dollars or more depending on the FFL (since they have to do the paperwork take the time etc).

now.. that background check might come back in 5 minutes.. OR THREE DAYS OR MORE.. before its clear I can receive that firearm.

All so my Father can give me his fathers .22. My father who has known me my whole life, who knows that I have already undergone multiple background checks for a concealed weapons permit in several states, who has undergone a background check for every hospital I work in and every clinic.

It takes up hours of my time.. a minimum of 80 miles of driving, and cold hard cash just to get a .22 from my dad..

And if he wants to let me borrow is 30.06 for three days for an elk hunt? guess what.. we have to do the process all over again.

So when you claim "its just a form"

I did. No hoops at all actually. We use it to drive around the ranch. no registration, no licensing, no insurance.
