And you take pride in this ability to kill someone ?

Thankfully you don't live on the same continent as me

He has pride in the ability to stop a threat quickly.

Where is the 7th shot?

You should be able to hold do the CTRL button and use your mouse wheel to make the image bigger.

No need to be so sanctimonious.

Hopefully, this indicates that his efforts at self defense will be effective should the need ever arise. Owning a gun for self defense and then failing to practice using it is a prescription for disaster.

I've been on this earth for 41 years and not once have I ever needed a gun for self defence. Probably because strict gun control in my country makes them a very rare thing.

I see at least two DRT ( dead right there ) shots.....nice group.

Gun ownership and proficiency with that gun is just like having insurance. You don't expect to use it
but you are darn happy that you have it when needed. ;)

Great shooting!

And here I was always told shooting was a perishable skill....

It's shooting like that that enabled us to bail out jolly old England twice in the last century. And defeat JOE in the previous 2 century's.

First time in 15 years? Like riding a bicycle huh. :)

Reminds me that I haven't shot in a couple of months and my wife is bugging me to break out the shotgun so we can go skeet shooting and it's a beautiful fall day in NY :)

I'm sure the Vegas shooter got plenty of practice too so I guess that was a prescription for a much greater one :(

I've lived a long time and only in war have I ever needed the facility of an instant lethal response .

You simply exaggerate the threats you face in civilian life in an attempt to justify your disturbing obsessions

Nice shooting.

Now I have the urge to go practice. ;)

I hope the anti gunners will forgive me, and not lump me into the same category as the LV shooter.

Evidence?

Yeah, lol, it seems that way...

I shot some clays over the years but this was the first I picked up a handgun in at least that long.

A couple of old buddies called me up to tell me they've finally found the sport (20 years behind me, but hey better late then never) Met them with the wife last night, had to let them know who's their daddy. (wife picked the targets, I would have just went with the old silhouette myself, but...)

I'm a little looser than when I left it, but I'll definitely be brushing up. Who knows, maybe get good enough to meet TD on the tour one day...

Thank you.

I know you're just giving 'em the business, but I give a rat's ass what those people think. Really.

This is the only pics I have of my shooting. These are the first 50 bullets to come out of my first hand gun. Its also the second time i shot a gun ever in my life. The first time was a month before in my friends back yard. I only shot 20 bullets.

A.) first 10
B.) second 10
C.) 3rd 10
D.) 4th 10
E.) 5th but only 8

I tried to put 2 in the hand, i missed about an inch under.
Rookie mistake I learned. The guy at the range was testing me. He didnt believe thats was my first time I shot a gun basically so he made me stop and told me to put two in the hand. Well like I said obviously i missed. He explained to me that when shooting a 40cal at a down trajectory that the bullets will dive a little extra on you so I needed to probably aim at about the wrist. BUT he said he asked me on purpose because IF i would of actually put two in the hand he would have known im a liar and I shot before LOL

I see, so just because you have never needed a gun for self defense, you would deny the millions who have successfully defended themselves, their families, and innocent bystanders with guns. Got it.

Congrats on completely missing my point.
You're proposing guns as the solution to a largely self-creating problem: people should be able to own guns to protect themselves from people who own guns.

If the number of people who own guns is tiny due to gun control, the chances of you needing to protect youself from someone with a gun is greatly diminished.
