Laws that prohibit smoking in most indoor locations has resulted in us being safer, literally.
We could go down a list of thousands of laws whose existence has resulted, based on statistics, in safer circumstances (and some that reduced safety).

Law's aren't supposed to "do anything". It's the people who pass the laws, and how that law is communicated and enforced, received, etc., that all can result in a change in public safety outcome. It is not just rules to live by...it has to have some purpose (improve safety, streamline negotation's, clarify ownership, etc.) else it's like not worth the cost to our freedom and the bloat of our legal system.

gee that's a stupid question but what you gun banners miss is this

1) guns possessed by felons usually are used to harm society

2) guns possessed by honest folks usually are used to help society

3) the schemes gun banners like you push mainly disarm the latter group and not the former

thus gun control laws usually harm society.

What a stupid post but typical of gun banners like you. We have the most lax gun laws on the planet.....yet why are we not the safest. DUH

Do you are mistaken these people aren't gun banners they love guns they want it guns to be legal they just don't want you to have them. They want government then police to have them so they have more power and you have none.

So it's a misnomer calling them gun banners they're very much pro gun they're just anti you having one.

I cannot help it if you cannot understand why but we do know this

England passes gun laws in a society that has very little violence and violence goes up. we allow millions to carry guns and we buy up 30 million semi auto magazine fed firearms in the last 20 years and our crime goes down

so those other first world nations have gun bans. they don't have crap like background checks on private sales since those aren't allowed anyway. so are you supporting their gun bans? sure sounds like you are

Why do states with the most lax gun laws have the most gun deaths? It seems like you want more gun deaths....well at least for people of a certain race

you have never established that nor have you told us what laws do you think in the states you claim have lower gun deaths prevent them

we know most of those deaths are suicides that have been explained by facts that having nothing to do with the laws-such as pro gun states have more retirees than bannerrhoid states

you have refused to tell us what laws you claim reduce suicides. we also know that most homicides are caused by inner city blacks living in Democrat run areas.

Just make no mistake they don't want to ban guns they just want people who will an act of violence against the "right people" to have them.
