What if 100 NRA members were killed?[W:1249]

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

The GOP is owned by the NRA, and vice versa. Check out the big wigs on the NRA board, need I say more.

the Democrats are owned by criminals and the bannerrhoid movement. Check out the big wigs at the VPC and the Brady bunch.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

WOW!!! Did you miss the point. Nothing is going to change this. Gun people who consider their love as religion will never allow it. The thread was to ask what if it hit them instead of innocent others.

Can you answer that?

Who says it didn't. It was a country western show.

I dont think it would make any difference they're all people.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

Sandy Hook proved we will do nothing about guns. As if we needed proof after all the previous incidents of murder and carnage. murders

The club in Florida proved it again when 49 were murdered.

And nothing will come of this Vegas slaughter today. Nothing. Not one damn thing will change.

The NRA owns Congress and the Republicans are there compliant bitch more than willing to do their bidding and ask for more.

So what would happen if some killer slaughtered 100 NRA members at one of their conventions?

Would that change anything?

The place is full of nothing but gun nuts so it should have already happened so say the gun banners. But it seems they are wrong as usual.

I am willing to bet every thing I own that gun people have been killed by in these shootings. Sorry but I don't live in fear. My family has more gun people than non gun people without a single incident. Car accidents on the other hand has taken many family members and friends. Low and behold we all still drive. Why don't you be scared for us.

Would the family of people ran over by 100 CARS make a change?

I cannot speak for NRA members but I believe that our rights are worth dying for and I do not say that lightly. If forced into the scenario where I had the choice of dying to preserve our 2nd amendment or living and us losing it, I would chose death and consider it a small sacrifice for the greater good.

The implication in this statement being that NRA members are not innocent? What crime have they committed? Does membership imbue one with less value or a certain degree of criminality?

Does it really matter who was killed? It was a tragedy across the board......assigning guilt to everyone but the individual responsible serves what purpose? Who's agenda is being pushed when we look away from the gunman and focus everywhere else? Gunman is dead.....cant get your pound of flesh there, so lets attack the next best thing.....supporters of the Second Amendment.

No. American gun culture is not going anywhere in our lifetimes.

Guns are not the problem - quite true.

Crazies can get as many guns as they want, easily. That might be problematic....

But the situation will fester and grow. There's a lot of emotion and money at stake. Lives are not of much consequence compared to emotions and money.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

That's just stupid.

Its a premise to explore the idea of just what seismic event might change the NRA from its position.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

My guess is they would be shot dead before they got off the second shot.

If the situation of Vegas was replicated - how in the world would that happen?

But again, you miss the point which is NOT to argue about how NRA fanatics are the worlds greatest shots.

Isn't that what groups like MAAD and SAAD demonstrate to us? When you hits close to you - your attitude changes.

You are choosing death and sacrifice for others. That is not a very noble or brave position.

Your right would be honored and will be able to be exercised even with many of the gun reforms often suggested like universal background checks, magazine limits, registration and banning of certain firearms.

Yes, to many people unless it hits them or their close group, it is easy to shrug it off and stick with your entrenched ideas.

Was the guy in Vegas "crazy" when he acquired that stockpile of more than forty weapons?

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

It’s a damned shame Congress didn’t pass any new laws when they held the majority in Congress and a Democratic President, isn’t it?

Two reasons. Number one, for libs, gun control has nothing to do with public safety WHATSOEVER. Number two, Dems know gun control is a political death knell, that's why they did nothing when they had the power. Much more politically expedient, and safe, to wait until they are out of power, and use the issue as a bludgeon against their opponents.

Wow that is a bit dramatic.

That's some sick **** right there haymarket. You've definitely reached a new low. Wow.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

My guess is that a lot of the killed and injured are members of the NRA.

Never happen! These homicidal people do seek out locations where they would be met with armed resistance! NRA members would shoot back!

Why is it "sick" to speculate on what it would take to move the NRA away from their extremist positions to those much much closer to the vast majority of Americans?

We know that the slaughter of little children has not done it. So what will? Do they have to get hit themselves before the light bulb goes off over their head?

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

And practically speaking, how would the NRA members have defended against what happened in Vegas because "they would shoot back"?

No doubt there were armed people in that crowd. And do doubt there were NRA members in that crowd. And they were powerless.

Re: What if 100 NRA members were killed?

What an absurd question.
For the record, the NRA stands for citizens to legally own a gun. They don't grand permission to kill.

NRA members obey the law. (exceptions noted) Therefor they do not carry weapons in a gun free zone.
