According to Rep. Thomas Massie (Kentucky), Paul Ryan is holding up HR 38 and HR 2909 (in committee) which provide for concealed carry reciprocity from state to state. HR 38 was introduced by Rep Thomas Hudson (North Carolina).

Not only that, he isn't supporting the President's agenda, so GTFO.

Yes, how dare someone not follow the orders of your King Trump huh?

He's failing to repeal Obamacare, something he supported from the beginning and Trump ran on. He's a ****ing failure, along with McConnell.

Yep, we can't have any disagreement with your King Trump, Ryan must go. Your King Trump must NOT be opposed EVER!!!! Have you been a faithful servant to your king Trump today and saluted your cutout of him today? If not, act now or you will upset your king.

Isn't legislation held up until they have the votes? Serious question. I just don't know...

I never really liked Ryan, I think he's just Boehner Junior. He's not Tea Party or Freedom Caucus, he's just another Establishment minion.

Yeah, screw those constituents he is supposed to represent.

HR 38 bases its ability to regulate concealed carry reciprocity on the Commerce Clause and the fact that the gun has crossed state lines. I see that as an unconstitutional overextension of federal power. Conservatives shouldn't be passing unconstitutional bills that support their agenda just because others do so. And this especially is a dangerous precedent. If Congress can pass this bill because guns have crossed state lines, it can pass gun restrictions that override state law based on the same theory.

Haven't they already? Isn't ATF already enforcing federal gun laws based on the Commerce Clause?

Now apply this to the trend of states voting to allow illegal residents voting power in state elections.

Yes we need to follow your king trump and screw the constituents that congress represents. Only your king trump matters.

At least those involve the interstate sale of guns, and there are plausible commercial implications. This would likely be found unconstitutional similarly to the Gun Free School Zones Act in US v. Lopez.

The sensible bill would be one that defines US citizenship, passing an NICS BGC and being of legal voting age as needed for a federal CHL/CCW permit that must be honored in all US states and territories. Anyone opposing that is a RINO or a demorat. ;)

You can keep it up with your silly hyperbolic rhetoric if you like, but the fact is, Ryan is not representing his constituents.

Agreed! He's got to go! Huzzah!

I'm no Ryan fan but yes there are many good reasons why Ryan man be stalling the vote, one of which is not having enough votes. There also plenty of bad reasons like holding out for pork barrel being built into the bill. I could not tell which is the case here.

actially he is representing his constituents because many of them will suffer if Obamacare is repealed. So you can play slave to your master trump all you want, just don't expect the country to act as ignorant as trumpbots.

I don't think you understand the concept of representation. Representation of constituencies means you represent what they tell you their interests are. Not what some left-wing loons, who always feel they know what's best for other people, believe their best interests to be.

There are many on the right that realize that repealing Obamacare is not good. Sorry to disappoint you that people can actually think unlike trumpbots.

No, there really isn't. There may be a few posers pretending to be Republicans, and forwarding left-wing agendas, but thinking people know Obamacare is an unmitigated disaster.

Ordinarily, I'd be the last person to defend Ryan, but the house did pass a health care reform bill, draconian as it was, a few months ago. It failed in the Senate.
