Of course we do. You can not bear arms in some states without a CCW. There is no open carry in those states. Therefore the only way to bear arms in public is with a CCW.

15 state have constitutional carry, 25 more state have written bills to introduce permit-less carry!

Wrong. Lawful defense with a firearm is legal in ALL states. One does not need a CCW for this.

There is no open carry in those states.

Open carry means you may not openly display a firearm. You can still use it in self defense.

Therefore the only way to bear arms in public is with a CCW.

Well Bucky, maybe they don't make you feel safer but then who are to say what does make me or anyone else safer? By the way how is that gun and ammo tax working out for Seattle? Pretty lousy?

A gun made Zimmerman feel safe enough to murder an unarmed teenager. Odd though, his defense was that he was a pudgy fishbellied ***** and was scared.

you apparently don't know much about the law and how it works. He didn't murder anyone. are you upset that a wannabe thug like Martin was killed by a jerk like Zimmerman?

Wrong.. generally state law allows you to carry firearms other than handguns even in states that don't have open carry.

In NY which has the strictest laws in the country, we routinely drove around with firearms in the back window of our trucks and cars.. and people carried firearms out in public all the time. Just usually not handguns.

Yeah.. Zimmerman violated the law. and he should be a pariah to legal gun owners and concealed carry permit holders.

that's because of the laws of NYC and the county.. not state law.

In fact in NY the state only recognizes concealed carry permits. ALL handgun licenses issued by the state are concealed carry permits. The state allows counties to put their own restrictions on them. That's a county restriction not a state restriction.

Nope. You are wrong. The state does not. The state of NY only licenses the permit to carry concealed handguns.. not arms.

You can not carry a gun in NYC in public without a permit. That is a simple fact. How can you defend yourself with a gun that is not in your possession? Stop playing silly word games. BEAR ARMS means to carry a gun
