If guns make us safer.....

do you HONESTLY think that public safety is what truly motivates people who say "its just a form"?

Don't worry. I know better. He may think that is what he is being told. He just doesn't understand that the form leads to more.

The crowd is not the sum of its parts.

I am a republican who did not vote for Trump (Or Hillary).

Metaphorically thats exactly what you do irrespective of even simple reason

Freedom is not defined by having the facility to kill one another more easily

How do you expect a farmer to defend his livestock and land? I am waiting.

If we said a rural farmer could have ANY gun he wanted in exchange for more gun control in the city would you support it? LOL

Nope, constitutional rights and equal protection of the law apply to all and do not vary based on zip-code or occupation.

Of course there is. Its just you prefer to run for cover behind your flag rather than debate them

Realistic gun legislation as seen in other countries would make you a lot safer as you've been shown countless times

It would be a bit more than marginal

what is there to debate=you want to ban guns in a country you don't count in and you lie that its for public safety. We who own guns aren't going to give them up to slake your irrational fear of firearms.

Did you NOT see the numbers I just quoted? Are you suggesting anywhere in the world even remotely comes close to the same amounts on those numbers? Especially the illegal drugs. Hell. Just the other day I watched homeless man get High on a can of RAID.

Yes I think other countries have vast amounts of problems with alcohol and drugs.

We actually we do restrict guns based on city or rural areas. That is simply a fact.

What is irrational and indeed immoral is your ambivalence to the collateral damage your 'fun' has for your wider society.

I sometimes think you'd rather blame the victims for getting in the way of the bullets than besmirch the reputation of the sacred gun and that you find it acceptable to be that way

blah blah blah-we are not giving up our guns to help you feel better. Since you are not honest enough to tell us why you are so invested in trying to eliminate our rights, why should anyone take your frantic hatred of gun ownership as anything other than some silly obsession?

Blah blah blah why are some on the pro gun side afraid of actual debate?

Another poster mentioned this and I thought it would make a great thread.

If guns make us safer:

why are you not allowed to carry at a NRA convention
why can you not carry loaded guns at a gun show (depending on the state)
why can you not carry guns on a plane
why can you not carry guns in court
why can you not carry around President Trump

and

With so many guns in the US....why aren't we the safest country on Earth?

The answer to every question but the last is, "Because bad guys carry guns, too."

The answer to your last one is because we don't have the political or judicial will to adequately punish those bad guys.

I'm trying to get to grips with the moral compass of people like you that deny the collateral damage their lethal hobbies are doing to your wider society

Gun deaths in children: Statistics show firearms endanger kids despite NRA safety programs.

we can debate till the cows come in, but one thing the gun bashers never ever admit is that their silly schemes are least effective in disarming those MOST likely to harm others. and after that has been proven to them over and over and over, its a fair assumption that disarming honest people is really their end goal

for those who are afraid of owning a gun or believe the bs that having one in their home (which is probably true for those who are that afraid) makes them less safe, then they shouldn't own a gun. But I really tire of the hysterically timid telling those of us who are adults and understand guns, that we have to adopt their phobias and disarm

The truth is, America is a society obsessed with guns and addicted to their repulsive but effective use as instruments of death. They like them; they teach their children how to shoot them, they store them, they harbour a fetish for them, and will never tolerate any attempt to deny them their toys.

They rarely admit what their guns are designed to do, which is to kill. It demonstrates that there is a pathological pleasure at large in the United States an ingrained illness borne of far too much Hollywood indoctrination from childhood. Guns are supposedly cool sexy and something to be revered. Heads up they aren't :(

If anyone needs a "Cliff notes" summary of the dishonesty and silliness of the gun ban movement, the above post is a good place to start.

more nonsense. The level of dishonest hysteria is just pathetic. If you are that afraid of guns, then don't own one-Oh I forgot, you cannot own them in the first place.

Is more dismissal and denial really all you've got ?

Let's do it. Let's get laws like the UK. How can we make that happen? How can we disarm the millions of criminals that have guns?

is hysteria, lies and frantic obsession all you have

we know that guns can be dangerous. Its a risk we accept. we get tired of those who want to pretend they know what is best for us, telling us what we have to do. As I noted, you are terrified of honest people owning guns. That doesn't justify your frantic and obsessive desire to strip others of their rights to ease your irrational fear,

we should have Flogger and Vegas go room to room in the projects demanding the gang bangers turn in their guns

Registration and banning of second hand gun sales would greatly reduce the flow of guns to criminals for starters

Like the man said earlier just fill out a form and see what happens

Well I can see personal attacks and the liar liar pants on fire defence is all you have so you'll have to run behind that flag again soon I think

does anyone here believe that you would stop with that? of course not. If this unconstitutional scheme didn't work, you would demand more restrictions. If it showed any decrease in crime-you would demand more. Its how gun banners operate. No matter what the first step does, they always want the next one and the next

criminals cannot be prosecuted for failing to register guns. Why should anyone who owns guns want a law that cannot be used against criminals but is craved by the hateful gun banners whose main goal is to confiscate legally owned guns?

No one who has read your posts for the last several years can possibly believe you are in favor of something less than a complete ban on our firearms.

after your idiotic comments about penises and phallic nonsense, you really have no room to talk. and yes, your posts are dishonest and filled with lies.

So you think having a gun (or many guns in your case) makes you more of a man then ? And you wonder why its so easy to use the phallic inadequacy argument so often with you guys

Ever hear the phrase 'once you've got yourself into a hole stop digging ?'

just so people remember the level of the argument from Flogger
