A valid lesson from a well known Liberal legal Icon

how about citing the article properly so I can take it apart. note however, what he is saying that the second amendment stands for

Did you cite your article properly? Why do the rules only apply to me. This article was from BREITBART

Yeah where can I do that in your post. You know everyone can see this OBVIOUS HYPOCRISY

are you able to understand that Dershowitz is anti gun but even he admits that the second amendment protects an individual right to keep and bear arms? I guess you didn't understand that point when you sort of cited that article

I was listening to Dershowitz and quoted what he said. I never claimed it came from an article. you quoted an article and you didn't properly cite it

Well maybe if you properly posted the article. This is my favorite part

What is needed is some very tough legislation both on the federal and state level to make it much, much harder to get guns and to create a presumption against gun ownership instead of a presumption in favor of gun ownership, consistent with the well-regulated militia language of the Second Amendment.

And I don't believe you.

Oooooh Wayne La Pierre just said he is pro gun control.

Trust me. LOL

now you are claiming to be a gun banner. have you actually figured out what you actually believe about guns other than you don't like the politics of the NRA and gun owners?

You mean like you claimed to be a gun banner SPECIFICALLY on this forum. Do you want to go down this road again. Should I report it this time?

OK Vegas

simple yes or no answers on the following

do you support

1) the ban on private citizens owning machine guns made after May 19, 1986

2) magazine limits of any type

3) private citizens being banned from owning any type of firearm even if they have a clear record

4) waiting periods before honest people can buy a gun

5)a limit on the number of guns you can buy in a given period of time

my answer to these is as follows

I don't believe in any federal limits on the number and type of firearms a lawful US Citizen should be able to own or possess buy or sell at all

so tell us-what are your views

I answered first so we don't get this nonsense of not answering until someone else does

I think we can put this in the win column. Good night

Drops mic....

of course I know what he has said. that is why I used him. He's an anti gun left-winger who wants the second amendment repealed. that he admits that the second amendment does protect a right he despises is why his quote I started this thread with is so valuable. HE HATES that honest citizens can own firearms. but EVEN HE admits that as long as the second amendment exists, he is going to have to live with that fact.

gonna run away before you answer an easy question? looks like its you the rest of the board will see as the loser

One more before I go to bed.

Do you support the right of a state TO BAN FIREARMS from violent offenders who have been convicted of their crimes?

sorry, you need to answer the pending question. I did

btw states don't have rights, they have powers so your stupid question is a fail

I ran into Vegas earlier today. He thinks the Constitution creates rights, so don't expect much regarding rights. I guess you have a new Haymarket. Best of luck! haha

That's the way I see it. And I see what you mean about Dershowitz being anti gun, lets hope he never gets in a position to do anything.;)

Dershowitz is a turd when it comes to guns but he's far more honest than some of his like minded leftwing academics. At least he admits that the second amendment guarantees an individual right and that courts cannot merely interpret it away.

Yeah that Dershowitz is wicked smart

What is needed is some very tough legislation both on the federal and state level to make it much, much harder to get guns and to create a presumption against gun ownership instead of a presumption in favor of gun ownership, consistent with the well-regulated militia language of the Second Amendment.

Yeah, but then, the way you see it I'm trying to force our (Canada) gun laws down your throat, so that's how much value your observations have.

which is how a gun banner thinks. we should create a presumption that those who want to ban or limit gun ownership by honest people to be part of the group that fears honest people being armed.
