so is it a myth that blacks cause more than half the murders in the USA? I would argue there are far more suburban white housewives who join the gun ban or gun control bandstand out of fear of black armed criminals then people who join the NRA out of fear of the same

so tell me Calamity. if someone works for an organization that was founded to ban or severely restrict legal gun ownership, what is going to be her interpretation of the NRA?

Murders committed by guns supplied by whites who bought them legally and dumped them into the inner city for a handsome profit....not to mention all the whites in the gun industry getting fat feasting on the bodies of dead black kids.

It's an NRA video that was cited, one that I saw, and one that is rife with coded racism: Thugs, gangbangers, urban, Chicago, Third World....yeah, I'm envisioning lily white when those words are said :roll:

yeah I am sure that is how you would interpret it. Those of us who actually understand the issue don't. when you make claims about whites causing all that inner city black gun violence, you are somewhat right but its not the NRA or conservative voters who are the whites you should be upset with

By all means, if conceal and carry is permitted, then pull out your gun to stop the attack, chances are in a fists vs. gun fight, the attacker will back off without shots fired, and if not, then do what you gotta do. But taking a surprise punch, as in the OP, and then shooting the attacker after the attack has concluded is no longer self defense (if that's what happened, I watched the video, which didn't show the attack, from what I can tell, and I couldn't put the volume up). If that's not the case in Texas, well...my condolences, but you certainly have no claim to being considered civilized if revenge killing is permitted by law, which the use of a gun after the conclusion of the attack would definitely be.

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A married father of two is in a coma after he was punched in the face while riding his bike in Brooklyn earlier this month, police said.

Surveillance video obtained exclusively by CBS2 shows what looks to be an unprovoked, random attack on 38-year-old Domingo Tapia in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Never said that, only that assault doesn't carry a death penalty, and that shooting someone after they punch you and are walking away constitutes a crime.
