Another Day, Another School Shooting

What do you think this this does? Reduce crime?

Do you think this is the only way a criminal can arm themselves?

Why do you agree with this action?

If the law states that if you do this and you are convicted you get 5 years in prison for each offense! How is plea bargaining down to probation for those 20 counts a deterrent? If you do the crime you do the time!

You are missing the point. That is should useless laws that serve no purpose but to clog up the system and make criminals out of people who intend to commit no violent crime remain? Obedience to the law is idiotic and not mandated ever for bad laws. Citizens are expected to OBJECT, TO DISOBEY, CHALLENGE and DEMAND REMOVAL.

You do realise that while the police are chasing guns criminals get a holiday. Crimes are not attended to, cases not solved and criminals not arrested. The cops cannot do all things at once. Then of course there is the budget and manpower allocation. What percent of the police and government budget do you think gets wasted on gun control?

Lets try again.

These days, it seems like everyone has a gun. Get pissed at the wife, shoot the bitch. Get pissed at your boss, shoot the ****er. Get pissed at the guy who cut you off on the highway, shoot the bastard.

I notice a trend.

Too many Americans these days worship themselves, and you know that offending a god is a serious issue.
It's about culture, not guns.

This is the thing that gets me: "Of the 1,070 traffic deaths among children ages 0 to 14 years in 2014, 209 (19%) involved an alcohol-impaired driver."
If someone walked into a school and shot 209 students dead anti-gun folks would be marching in the streets. But you don't see this kind of reaction to drunk driver effects. Why is that?
Guns prevent significant crime every year and save lives. I don't think drunk driving can claim one life saved, so why focus on guns?

because drinkers don't tend to vote consistently for the GOP and the alcohol lobbying group isn't as effective in electing conservative politicians

So it's not really a gun thing, it's a political thing?

of course. Now maybe for the sheeple who might as go far as to march in one of the astro-turf Mothers against the second amendment parades, those low wattage voters might actually believe crap like "assault weapon bans" will keep people who traffic billions in narcotics from getting guns, but the leaders of those bannerrhoid organizations-they are all leftwing control freaks who hate the fact that the NRA and committed gun owners generally support conservative candidates.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense. :)

Perhaps the easiest question I have ever had to answer. I'll answer with another question first. Why the Jews? The answer is the propaganda of fear and hatred and if we think it is a joke we had better wise up fast. Now see how many firearm owners you can find who can answer correctly.

Not quite right it is a power thing, Control. You cannot make people do things they will not accept if they have the power and means to say no. Nor can you make decisions for them they will not accept if they have the power to object.

The only trend I can see is in people who lack even a basic education and ability to deduce when they are being lied to.

I know. I see it too

Well, at least they kept guns out of the hands of his wife. When you get right down to it there's really no good reason that a woman who is being stalked by a violent, drug crazed ex spouse should need to defend herself as long as there are cops with guns ready to take reports and mop up the blood after she's dead.

Always find it rare that people think they are safe from bad things happening to them when they have a gun..
It simply does not make you safer, and will never do so..

It gives you an additional option. Nobody can guarantee safety but taking away viable tools to preserve or protect one's self only guarantees that the person will be less safe.

That isn't the claim.

Nonsense. Self defense with a firearm happens thousands of times a year.

It gives you more options in some circumstances when threatened with bodily harm. No one has ever claimed it is the cure for any situation.

If you have always lived in Brussels then you will believe what you are told both by government and the anti gun movement. I've had guns(multiple guns)all my life and nothing bad has happened to me or anyone I know.
However yesterday a dumbass ran a red light and nearly t-boned me.Chances are my daughter would have been hurt bad or worse.

I hear something it makes me feel safer having my 9mm in my hand when checking it out.And no I'm not apt to shoot a family member.

tell that to the many people who have stopped a violent attack with a handgun or other firearm. why is it those who are most enamored with more government are the most against people owning firearms? do you think owning a firearm somehow insults your beloved big government by telling big brother that you don't have complete faith in him to protect you?
