Several months ago, I got a good Deal on a SIG MCX rifle-the one that got lots of bad press since the Orlando shooter used it in his massacre. However, I found this rifle to be extremely well made and reliable and got it for about 150 lower than normal retail. Shortly thereafter, SIG USA issued a recall notice-apparently, a few of these rifles in 300 Blackout could accidentally discharge under rare circumstances but SIG decided to replace the bolt carrier group in all of the MCX rifles including the 5.56 caliber one that I own. SIG sent out a box with a return postage label. about 10 days after I mailed off the original bolt carrier group, I received the replacement today. In addition, SIG included a 50 dollar gift voucher for their on line store.

I bought this rifle mainly for home defense and its important to have confidence in the firearms one obtains for such use. This sort of service is typical from SIG and should be the standard for other makers.

Awesome! Rare these days you get customer service like that. It's nice to see.

my only complaint was the day after I received the recall notice-I couldn't get through on their phone line but it was a time they stated was a peak period.
