Massachusetts gun shop hit with $35K in fines and fees for selling Glocks

50 or so less but you can buy GLOCK Gen IIIs for about the same price

Personally i prefer the smiths even though I am a member of the Glock SSF 500 Club

I like Glocks though it's hard to deny the attraction of an M&P. I'd own either one.

they are both equally good. I like the SW for one reason. for speed shooting, the Smith trigger resets slightly faster. Now you can buy some Aftermarket triggers for the GLOCKS that really improve them but out of the box, i was getting measurably faster splits on three shot strings. I by measurable I mean people observing could note it-not just the range officer with the timing clock

Getting specific are we? The M&P doesn't have the slow safety trigger like the Glock? It's called amurrican know how. ;)

The triggers are pretty similar. there are far more aftermarket (APEX) triggers for the Glock though

Selling Glocks is a crime when a perfectly suitable alternative (M&P) goes for hundreds less. Buy amurrican...

Most of mine are American made they are call Ruger's, but still like my Glocks, tough as nails and dependable as sin.

That's what you want in a gun, reliability and quality.

That is one of the great things with Glocks, they are one of the most aftermarket supported handguns on the market. Not to mention that there is another plus to having a Glock, learn to use one and you pretty much have them all down, unlike some manufactures where one model will be dramatically different from another.
Still need to get me a CZ again, now that I miss, plus they have a new one getting high praise. As the saying goes, never pick up a CZ unless you are ready to buy, they are like a damn good pair of gloves. Maybe I will get her done by my Birthday in July, that old itch is staring to kick in.

hmmm wonder if my walther P99 would be illegal there then?

it does have a cocked and chamber round indicator but there is no manual safety.

I dont really get upset over laws like these BUT they dont do anything to stop criminals from getting guns or actual illegal guns sells (meanign black market guns or stolen guns etc) so i think they are stupid. I guess somebody would try to use "safety" as a defense but if you are using proper safety practices those things dont matter.

So long as they do what they are asked and not a pain to use or maintain then I am good with that.

I've never found any handgun to fit my hand like my P01. I'm looking forward to trying out the P10c when they show up at my local. I'd guess there's a full size P10 in the works, too, and I may pick up one for a backup for 3-Gun.

Indeed it is, and that's exactly where it should be.

Correct, one should not depend on mechanical safeties, even though some of mine have them, even Glocks have them, but no matter if they are there or not if they are being properly handled then there is nothing to worry about. Guns do nothing we do not make them do, five easy steps and you will always be safe.

And there ya go. One thing I made a mistake on was when my wife, all 5'1" of her, got involved in firearms, I thought I could pick something out for her that she would like. I got her something, yes, she handled it first before getting it, but did not shoot them, she would end up liking shooting one of mine better and bingo not only did I not get Her a gun that she liked I lost one of mine in the process, hey I am a good guy. Sadly, I am a slow learner at times, Me Be Smart (not really), so I did it again, don't ask, just say it got expensive. She finally found a couple she really likes and that experiment in stupidity on my part came to an end. Lesson is, as you know, one must use what fits and works for them. Every firearm handles differently and unless a shooter is comfortable they will not want to shoot it and without practice it is best used a paper weight.

Practiced discipline is the one of the most essential elements of responsible shooting.

I only buy new stuff if it gives me an edge. It did. of course a couple guys 20 years younger went and bought CZ custom shop guns and are now getting me here and there.

Oh well such is life

but they wouldn't help me win If I didn't shoot at least twice a week

Yeup, especially when you are competing, if you are not sharp the other guy will be. Is your son now competing?

yeah, he's good but he sort of slacked off this summer and he misses too much. Sometimes he gets hot like last summer when he crushed everyone in a 22 Revolver class-6 plates, reload six plates in 4 seconds flat

We'll just go with "Show Off" ;)

Any word on aftermarket parts for the P10?

None yet but I have yet to see a gun. My local CZ dealer says probably after the SHOT show. it depends on how many agencies adopt it I suspect. widespread police use=big aftermarket suppliers
