Trump is good for the gun industry. Trump is improving the country and he hasn't been sworn in yet. Although I would like to through in a bit of caution: liberals in this country have already expressed sympathy for terrorists so they may be plotting with ISIS to hurt this country.

Sorry to be a party pooper but how do "they" know the political lean or sexual orientation of gun purchasers, and how could they possibly know that their reasons for buying a gun have anything to do with Trump? Even presuming all this is true, there are many liberals, minorities and gay people who support gun rights and always have.

I would presume because the quote in the article came from Lara Smith, who is the spokesperson for the Liberal Gun Club. Since the Pink Pistols is an LGBT friendly gun club, it might be reasonable to assume some gay membership. An especially fair assumption since their web site describes themselves as a club that "teaches queers to shoot".

You are right about the Trump part. While the claim is that the above mentioned clubs have gained membership, the connection to Trump is vague.
 
That explains the run on all the pink handguns.

Good for them.Nice to see libs take a interest in their constitutional rights.Although how do we know that these are not liberals who already support the second amendment instead of just loony leftist loons paranoid about a Trump administration? Not every lib is a "gunz-R-da-devil anti-2nd amendment loon. Some actually do support the 2nd amendment and are just as appalled as any conservative is when some anti-2nd amendment loon tries to ban or severely restrict so called assault weapons and so called high capacity magazines and other restrictions that anti-2nd amendment loons try to impose.
 
Perhaps because liberals were informed back in August of this year that some political problems might require Second Amendment solutions.

Lots of way. First time gun buyers, increase in people joining liberal or minority gun clubs, etc.

I hope that if any of those guns go to first time gun owners those individuals take the time to learn the proper care, handeling, how to safely use, carry those guns, if that's their choice.*

What slightly worries me is that some of those first time owners may have actually listened VP Joe Bidden and garb their new shotgun and wildly shooting out a home window or door at random noises in the night.

Republicans can now worn of how radicalized liberal groups may be dangerous because they hold onto their "ideology and guns"

I am currently a member of two private gun clubs. Neither of them discriminate potential new members based on political ideology or racial(minority) criteria.

I would hope the article took some creative liberties in describing those gun clubs as minority or liberal and not a true reflection of bigoted and discriminatory practices those clubs use to determine membership.

THe reality is we have groups like the Black Caucus and GLBT whatevers. They exist. It is what it is. And, yes, we do collect statistics based on race, sex and sexual orientation, not to mention political lean and why you bought the gun.
