I have the three major MBRs in 308

A MIAI supermatch set up in M-21 configuration (Sniper) with a Douglas match barrel

An A-10 (Rock River Arms)

and three different FN-FALs, an original browning, a DSA and a Springfield Armory made in South America with a Clinton era PC stock

Accuracy-MIAI first, AR-10 second FAL third

Ergonomics-FN-FAL first, AR-10 second MIAI (M14) third

easy of carrying-all about the same though the MIAI is slightly heavier

field stripping-AR 10 and FNFAL are very good. MIAI a little harder

If I could have only one-AR-10

have shot all three in full auto

waste of ammo unless you are on a bipod and the M14 would be the best

a bunch of Trump appointees to the Ninth Circuit could mean the idiotic gun laws in California might get thrown out as clearly violating the second amendment under McDonald v Chicago. love to see good citizens in california stocking up on real AR 15s and 30 round magazines by the thousands. And maybe the idiotic Hughes amendment will take a bath and then you can get real machine guns just like the cops have

Very vague and some here would argue about determining who is not capable of firearm ownership, though if there are courts involved I might listen. Sounds more like smoke being blown up my backside.

Allowing importation of classics
Not against it, and do not believe he will do it.

Overall does not seem like much in his part. So he is Not going to challenge Unconstitutional laws in States that have passed law in violation of the 2nd A? Nope, I thought not.

Hey if someone posts something worth reading I read it. I think the import ban was nonsense but once people get in his ear I doubt he will lift it, time will tell.

All it would mean is I would have to buy the Dillon caliber conversion kits for .30 carbine and .30-06.

I got my full sized Rock Island (used) for only $500, no paper.

As my injuries get worse, I plan to sell my Match grade ARMSCORPS M14 and all its accessories.

It seems the only shooting I can do now is rimfires in my backyard.

So, yes, I think the prices will be dictated by the market instead of fear, like if Hillary were to have won.

I hate it when fear drives the prices up like it has so many times in the recent past.

No need, you can shoot nearly as fast and more accurately with a semi auto, there is a reason we taught soldiers to keep their full auto limited to around three rounds, it is called rise. A good machinist can do the job of conversion if you wanted to skirt the law but it is not worth what you get for the risk. Better to just wait for the new government to remove the ban and laws governing them, right?

Within the first 100 days. Of course one has to go overseas, purchase the weapons, get them through customs and BATF and then put them on the market. I have time.

Oh, I've no interest in full auto, but if they start reimporting M1s and M1 carbines, I'll grab one of each. Band of Brothers made a lasting impact. I just like loading my own ammo on my Dillon 550b.

I know several people will be happy to have the ban on 5.45X39mm lifted.

That was stopped by an Obama EO.

Wanna bet? Hey, go for it, might be as cheap to pay the toll fee than going through all that, but your way you would at least get to travel.

I think that limited numbers would fly off the shelf, heck I might go for it just for a collectors item.

I will wait and see, I never saw trump as a champion of 2nd A rights so do not expect as much out of him as some do. A conservative SC judge would be good and maybe the feds taking on the constitutionality of some State restrictive laws would be better use of their time in my opinion.

If you love the M1 carbine, I would like to share this little tidbit with you.

Have you seen the CHICOM chest pouch for the SKS with those wooden flap securers? There is about 8 pockets, I believe.

Well I found out each pouch will hold a 15 round carbine magazine perfectly.

handy when plinking away with cheap MILSURP ammo.

ALSO: If you have issues with the magazines popping in, just run a file over the backside of the magazine dimples and it fixes them. An old Army armorer showed me that trick once.

I am not going to go through all that. That is what has to happen to become an importer. I forgot the FFL from BATF. These guys are pretty much already set up for that. They took a big hit when Bill Clinton put the restrictions on.

I am sure you will be proven correct in this.

No one from NYC is good on the gun issue. It is not in their culture.

If he just leaves us alone, I will be happy.

I used to deal with a small importer from NY. He only sold bolt action minty type odd rifles. I got some nice rifles from that guy. I got some sweet 1917 Steyrs and he turned me on to some beautiful 45-70 hand built Siamese Mausers.

that was the cheap, corrosive primed Russian Military stuff that was drying up anyway. have a bunch of that but I only keep it for reserves. You can still get the non-corrosive "silver bear" or Wolf stuff but it doesn't have the penetrator steel core bullet. The ban was stupid though
