Amanda Collins had never planned on becoming a Second Amendment advocate. But on Oct. 22, 2007, when she was just 22 years old, her life would change forever. “I lived through the worst fear that I had had up until that point,” Collins, who’s now a mother of three, told The Daily Signal. “What happened was that while I was a student at the University of Nevada Reno, I was brutally raped.”

At the time, Collins said she obtained her concealed carry permit, but wasn’t allowed to carry a gun on campus. Had she been carrying a firearm that day, Collins believes the outcome could have been different.

those who want to prevent honest citizens from being armed, are essentially the enablers of violent criminals

It's so simple, even a 5th grader can get it.................................but not these Lefty morons!

Especially Lefties who claim to have a college degree, but lack logic and basic common sense .

I teach gun safety in schools and the target age that the school district set up for my presentations, is 5th graders. Old enough to get it, but not old enough to be know-it-all smart asses.
When I ask questions, or take comments from the students, I'm truly amazed with their clarity of understanding the basics. Points that older, college educated folks, muddle up due to their anti-gun brainwashing in high schools and college.

I was speaking in a psychology class at the local university. It was mandatory class that had over 100 students attending. Of course, with a uniformed police officer in front of the class the questions were sadly predictable. I didn't mind. The students thought they were being smart. Suddenly there was a loud crash. A young woman had slammed the textbook down on her table. People jumped.

"The police aren't the enemy you idiots. I was raped. The only people who cared at all were the police. They caught the guy and arrested him. He didn't go to trial. He cut a deal with the District Attorney and walked and the District Attorney didn't even have the nerve to call me. He told the police to call me but only after it was a done deal. The police cared and did their job."

Maybe she learned you might be better off being the one to cut a deal with the D.A.
