A False narrative

Ban all guns!

guns do NOT have rights!

Jesus never used a gun!

If you own a gun you can not be a Christian!

Vote Hillary or go to hell!

Tighten the lose screws.

good to see you back on the thread you started

do you know what an "assault rifle" is? do you realize how corrupt the Mexican government is and how many firearms bought by that government for its army and police are quickly ending up in the hands of narcotics gangs? USA Private entities cannot sell automatic weapons across the borders without all sorts of government licenses and permission.

do you understand how many eastern bloc automatic rifles have been dumped on the world market as many former Warsaw Pact members joined NATO and switched to STANAG firearms?

Not to mention the many millions of munitions that were liberated from the USSR stores after the cold war ceased. Fact is there is no shortage of black market firearms and the AK47 is top of the list at bargain prices.

Why do some people introduce the topic of guns with a false narrative? I have not heard one person ever running for POTUS that wants to take law abiding citizens right tho own a gun away from them

In fact - even living in Portland, Oregon and living urban yet working in rural I have not met one person recently or even in my past that expressed a support to overturn the second amendment.

Sure some people prefer we do not sell WMD to heinous criminals across the border and then send our border agents in to face off.

Others prefer that people with major mental illness hallucinating not be allowed to have WMD yet why operate on a false narrative?

Could it be people who operate n this false are fed propaganda by the NRA who supports weapons manufacturers in our country who make billions selling weapons to known gangs, criminals, human traffickes, cartels and terrorists?

Person begins threads complaining about false narratives, uses false narratives in her complaining. Truly, a compelling and useful argument. When you showed an utter lack of understanding of what is classified as A WMD, and when you ignorantly ignored that those who have not been convicted of a crime are inherently classified as "law abiding citizens" which is the case of those on the no fly list, your post basically showed itself to be nonsense. It's not a complaint about how people start the gun debate, it's a complaint that people on the other side start gun debates in the same dishonest fashion you have done here.

I'm assuming that WMD in the OP refers to Water Melon Devices. I don't have any of the other kind. We aren't permitted to have ordinance, and that seems to be a reasonable position for our government to maintain. Keeping mortar rounds in the fruit cellar probably isn't a good idea, and I don't know of any sane person that wants a few 120mm rockets filled with VX gas in the attic. They just don't keep well, darn it. That, and it's illegal to own 'em.

These people just love irrelevant comparisons and are forever screeching about their favourite, "do you want children to have atomic bombs". Besides being ordinance, bombs, who could actually afford one and the facilities to keep it? Reason and logic are not part of their delusional thought processes.

You start a thread titled "A False Narrative", and then include your own false narratives in the content?

What gives?

Sheeple are sheeple because in today's world there are 10,000 things vying for attention each day that to the sheeple are far more important.

What is important is a learned process inculcated by our parents and educational system. Our parents have forgotten long ago that the constitution needs our protection. Government controls the schools so government can easily give us the impression the law court are the highest authority which most now firmly believe.

What does that make citizens when the very organisations that claim they will protect our right do not do so and no citizen is in the least bothered. Is it no wonder that those organisation tasked with at least acting as the watch dogs of members to alert them to incursions abdicate this task in it's entirety?

If anyone is to blame for this situation it is the firearm organisations whose task it is to protect the only reason for the organisations existence, the second amendment.

And that is the only way it will be corrected. By kicking some organisations butt and reminding them they have a leadership role in our fight

Is sheeple even a real word? Not in Websters

It would be beneficial if those offering threads here actually know what federal law currently is on this subject. This doesn't require anything more than a cursory review of information available to all.

Do you not know what it means? People who cannot think for themselves, requiring they be told everything. Gullible

Sheeple (a portmanteau of "sheep" and "people") is a derogatory term that highlights the passive herd behavior of people easily controlled by a governing power which likens them to sheep, a herd animal that is easily led about. The term is used to describe those who voluntarily acquiesce to a suggestion without critical analysis or research in large part because the majority of others possess a similar mindset.[1] Word Spy defines it as "people who are meek, easily persuaded, and tend to follow the crowd (sheep + people)."

As it seems like a silly word, I will leave it out of my vocabulary.

on a board like this, its slang that is well understood and commonly used by those who support individual rights and it refers to people who are followers and loathe to exercise individual responsibility and freedom. Did you really not understand the term or were you merely trying to derail his point?

I have never heard of the term, or would use it, thats why I asked. Why would I want to derail the thread, its against the rules.

It is a false narrative by the alt right. No one wants to take away the right for a sane law abiding citizen to bear arms.

Then what the heck is gun control trying to do?

Almost every country will have a term for the gullible, easily mislead, followers of others that cannot not think for themselves. Sheeple is quite common for English language speakers as it ascribes sheep like behaviour.

I am more familiar with term lemmings, ya I am old school lol

I believe this is a gun control thread, not my intent to derail, normally stay away from abortion, religion, and gun threads. I best get a move on, politics are fun but those 3 topics invoke lots of passion, and emotions.

Lemmings will do fine but in their case they only blindly follow once, sheep do it all the time unfortunately. It would be a blessing if they were like lemmings.

Its a poignant question, but actually not as poignant nor troubling as why people sharing the common delusion that the POTUS is going to take their guns away should be trusted to have the impeccable sound judgment necessary to maintain the exquisitely high level of responsibility owning a gun demands?

So in other words you believe that those that believe the government might ban guns are not fit to own them, but yet the government has banned guns and in some states and cities it is near impossible or extremely expensive to own a gun, your logic has a great big flaw in it.
