Cocks Not Glocks: Texas students carry dildos on campus to protest gun law

Yep. They're my team. \m/

My youngest graduated from there without any protests under her belt.

Ah, so you bleed maroon. ;)

LOL you think i need to provide evidence that a fight going from knives to guns is an example of escalation ?

you are arguing that because students with CCW licenses have firearms, that will escalate into violence. Yet there is ZERO evidence of that happening with people who have CCW licenses in other venues. But thanks for admitting you just made it up

That's actually another issue...allowing the mentally deficient to roam the street. Something else to protect yourself from.

well knowing texas, the murderer is going to be worm food via a lethal injection

And your proof is where?

There is no proof-its a faith based mantra from the church of the holy Bannerrhoid. we heard this nonsense in every state that was contemplating Shall issue licenses. Thought the faith based prediction never came true, the true believers never stopped making the same stupid claims state after state

There'd probably be more gay conservatives if conservatives weren't such hostile anti-gay bigots.

as opposed to gun hating bigots on the left?

Well, it certainly hasn't, that I know of, in states that permit concealed-carry on campus.

Sure and as recently as 2003, there was only one campus in the entire US that allowed concealed carry, which makes the quantity of data pretty small. By 2009, there were only twelve.

1/4,000 ~= 0
12/4,000 ~= 0

Sure, or a simple misunderstanding might turn into the death of an innocent bystander.

speculation that has not come true nationally despite millions more carry guns legally over the last 20 years

How are stats that suggest that concealed-carry permit holders are less likely to commit crime irrelevant to this discussion of concealed-carry on campus?

Because the gun isn't magically locked to only be operable by the CCW holder.

You're just bringing in your own strawmen to beat up.

If you think a demographic with higher rates of alcohol abuse and depression are magically improved by throwing guns in the mix, why don't you explain your reasoning ? Mine seems to be self evident.

bottom line-do you have any reality based evidence that students with CCW-those who carry guns in hotels, theaters, shopping malls etc are going to be problems carrying on campus? of course not-you just are spewing BS with no evidence

It is relevant- the CCW holder might not always have control of the gun. Have you ever been to college ?

have I ever been to college-LOL. what a stupid question. No, the Ohio state bar swore me in because I passed the bar without going to college or law school.

I don't think you know very much about concealed-carry or permit holders.

If there is evidence, I'd like to see it.

LMAO! nice thats an awesome protest for publicity and to keep things funny and light!!! Good stuff!!!

I don't support their anti-cause though. I think gun free zones in many cases are pretty stupid and if the law says you can conceal carry then you should be able to carry on public areas on campus

It's ironic for you to accuse me of spewing BS with no evidence when you proclaim that students with CCW all carry guns in hotels, theaters, shopping malls etc.

Then surely you realize that having guns in dorm rooms with unconscious CCW holders could lend itself to a bad situation ??

Or are you too dishonest to admit anything that might work against your desired agenda in any way ?

where do you think they carry guns if they have licenses to carry?

you are speculating that those who have CCW licenses are going to become "unconscious"

From SCC: "...however, our research and calculations suggest that any policy regulating licensed concealed carry by dorm residents will affect no more than a half-dozen license holders on any given campus, including the state’s largest universities. Furthermore, the campus carry working group at the University of Texas at Austin has shown that campus carry policies can be drafted in such a way as to address the unique security concerns posed by dorms but not create an outright “prohibition on handguns in the institution’s residential facilities.”

where do you think they carry guns if they have licenses to carry?

I don't think that all students with CCW are carrying around firearms 100% of the time. If they're in a hospital gown because they lapsed into a coma, they're probably not still packing heat.
