Massachusetts Bans Semi-Autos

Not true dude. There is no precedent set at all and never will be. We had gun control in 1791: right after we signed the Bill of Rights, and we've had it many times over.

"Freedom of Travel" means that driving a car should not be a privilege doesn't it. But you can't just buy and jump in and drive now can you. Why not?

OHHH, people might get hurt? But - it's a free country! We - have a constitution!!...

The slippery slope is right-wing meme.

Give'em an inch, and they'll take a mile. It's so often proven true where the government and individual rights are involved. All you have to do is look in history for the many examples of government tyranny, if allowed to, without some sort of government restraint.

The supreme court is governments court and as such is subservient to the peoples laws. The people may at any time correct governments mistakes. In fact it is a duty in a republic for the people to do so.

yes, you insist i am the one without knowledge and understanding of Constitutional law

yet you are a supposed attorney who insists the US Supreme Court exceeded its authority in matters restricting machine gun and sawed off shotgun regulation

restrictions that exist to this day

just as we soon will have restrictions on arms that have a military purpose. something you insist today cannot happen

but then you also insist machine gun and sawed off shotgun regulation cannot happen

totally irrelevant to my point-a classic case of wanting to respond without having any real argument.

the I don't know the difference between federal and state power" bit again. cars aren't constitutionally protected

This is ridiculous.

What the heck is wrong with semi-automatic transmissions? And how can they possibly be a detriment to society?

This is outrageous...

...uh...

never mind.

Shoot, every hand gun in production today also has a rifled barrel, so they are, in essence, semi auto rifles. And every hand gun in production today were conceived for a "military purpose".

So why aren't we banning those?

I'll also be willing to wager that more people are killed in ONE year by handguns than are killed in a decade by AR15s, or some other "military style" weapon.

uh you need to learn to read a bit better-CONGRESS exceeded its authority and a lap dog subservient court-***** whipped by FDR's illegal threats to pack the court-rolled over and played dead.

tell me if you HONESTLY think that the founders intended the commerce clause to be a backdoor grant of gun control power to the government-one that over-rode the second amendment

still having trouble figuring out state vs Federal powers?

In NY they banned magazines over 10 rounds, We said they would try for more. BM members claimed that was a stupid slippery slope argument and guess what-then Boss Cuomo tried to ban more than 7 rounds

Yeah it is a slippery slope and the Bannerrhoids pour oil on it

that doesn't contradict what I said-it will ban the future sales of AR 15s-even without the 2 identifying features that made the rifle and "assault weapon" under that idiotic Clinton law

What are the two features?

What are the two features?

any two of the following (going from memory, i might miss one or two) (for rifles a detachable magazine and semi auto was required as the initial factor-for shotguns some pump action were included as AWs)

1) folding or telescoping stock

2) flash hider

3) bayonet lug

4) grenade launching attachment

5) protruding pistol grip (which is why you saw the advent of thumbhole stocks for AK style rifles)

6) barrel Shroud

For pistols

Magazine forward of the pistol grip

stuff that have nothing to do with changing the function of the weapon but since those features are often found in military issue rifles-the Bannerrhoids claim they made the weapons "assault weapons"

remember the Bannerrhoid movement is the singularly most dishonest political movement in the USA. Its entire premise is based on a lie-that restricting what honest people can own will stop those who commit violent felonies from obtaining such items. and its based on the lie that stopping criminals is what actually motivates the leaders of the bannerrhoid movement.

Well can you blame them? How many people are killed by grenade launchers and bayonets? Its like an endless river of blood!

drive by bayonetings are brutal-sort of like this, especially if there are lots of bayonet equipped rifles.

warning-graphic bayoneting-its what Diane Feinstein had in mind I am sure
