Hawaii Becomes First State to Put Gun Owners in FBI Database

NO ......

Please tell me/us..........

Us meaning the 92% of Americans that have no problem with a state filing info with the FBI

Where did that statistic come from? Why do I get the feeling that you pulled that statistic straight out of your ass? Oh wait...it's because you did.

What lie are you saying I made?
this...
"Us meaning the 92% of Americans that have no problem with a state filing info with the FBI"
this is a lie you made up... don't play stupid or pretend you don't know what claim we're talking about.

And in spite of what you charge.......
what do i charge?... that you're a liar?... that's been establish already in the affirnmative.... you made the bed, so sleep in it.

You still have not shown us where a state cannot make a law about guns........
show me exactly where I have claimed States cannot pass a law about guns...

he absolutely made it up... and now he's butthurt about being called out on making **** up.

****ing liars... can't stand 'em.

A state law which improves the quality of background checked is secondary to the purpose of the law............

"..........…. allows Hawaii police to be notified (by FBI) when a Hawaii firearm owner is arrested anywhere in the U.S....."

In reading the news report you must have missed that.......

That is EXACTLY what I was discussing when I responded. Interesting that you left out this part of that quote: :naughty

In addition, the law allows Hawaii police to evaluate whether a firearm owner should continue owning a gun after being arrested.
Hawaii Becomes First State to Put Gun Owners in FBI Database

1. If I am arrested for a crime anywhere in the USA outside of my home state, what business is it of my home State unless I am convicted of a crime?

2. Simply being arrested will now allow law enforcement agencies in the State of Hawaii to evaluate the right to own a weapon, rescind permission, followed by confiscation of the weapons.

Your positions are so biased that it is really hard to want to discuss any issue with you. You only see what you want to and ignore anything that runs contrary to your viewpoint. :twocents:

as i suspected.. you made it up and tried to pass off a lie as a fact... it's common for your ilk to do so.

as an aside, that's not what I said.
what you, and your fellow Democrats, actually support violates the US Constitution( due process protections)... what this particular Hawaiian law does in unclear as of now.( which is why i said it will go to court in due course)

No one has yet said whose constitutional rights have been violated….
Or what rights of that person been violated…..
Or the constitutionality of a state to pass laws of gun laws

A recent poll sited here dozens of times says they support improved background check laws........

Most Americans Agree With Obama That More Gun Buyers Should Get Background Checks

“…..In dozens of polls over the past two decades, Americans have been asked if they support expanding background checks for the purchase of firearms. Background checks are run to prevent sales to people who have been convicted of certain crimes, who are running from the law or who otherwise have been banned from buying guns for a variety of other reasons……..
………. . In October, a CBS News/New York Times poll found that 92 percent of Americans — including 87 percent of Republicans — favor background checks for all gun buyers…………

Idiotic ****ing bull****. Do you know the difference between a background check and what Hawaii did?

Where did that statistic come from? Why do I get the feeling that you pulled that statistic straight out of your ass? Oh wait...it's because you did.

Why you ask?

Because you are not informed........and/or you do not want to believe it.....or you just mean it as an indirect personal attack..........

In any event citations have been provided and posted here...........read back and I am sure you will find them..........not like them......and then dispute them........

Idiotic ****ing bull****. Do you know the difference between a background check and what Hawaii did?

Yes..........and I know the logical relationship between them.........

You do not........

Please lets "cut to the chase".......

What law............ SCOTUS finding prevents a state making laws related to guns?

Unless you can find one.............no ones rights have been violated

What are you guys going on about? Can we stop pretending someone that decided to break the law and has a record is a equal to me? I'm not a idiot. Idiots who break the law should not have the right to a firearm to hurt others. Grow up.

The amount of dishonestly in supporting your statement with a statistic talking about a different gun control measure is staggering.

Simply being arrested is not the same as being convicted.

In the U.S.A. a person is innocent until proven guilty.

Therefore, unless and until a person is convicted of a crime, he is innocent of that crime under our law.

That means he is still the same as YOU until he actually has a criminal record. NOW do you understand what we are "going on about?" :coffeepap:

Pay attention.......we are talking about a state.........like the state named in the subject..........

And please try not to get so out-of-sorts yoU feel free to call me a liar.......

That's not necessary IS IT?

To add to the mix .......

Are you aware that each state is required to report to the federal government the names of all:

1. convicted felons

2. persons who may be a danger to themselves and others

3. people who have been accused/guilty/issued court ordered restriction of domestic abusers

That is EXACTLY what I was discussing when I responded. Interesting that you left out this part of that quote: :naughty

The issue at hand is the right of a state to pass a gun law and submit same to FBI..........

Not what may/may not occur after the fact

I have a feeling that if they were convicted you would still make a argument about how they have a right to carry despite the law they broke...convince me otherwise.

Convince you? Of what?

You made an uninformed statement based on a false assumption, to which I provided a clear and rational response.

Now you are positing a red herring point trying to change the issue.

Please read my tagline. :coffeepap:

I don't know if you're an idiot or not... but whining about stuff that no one is actually saying doesn't point to you being a genius..

Due process of who?

Please is there any reason for your angry and distasteful remarks just because you cannot answer simple questions

the due process of the person you are violating the rights of by barring them from possessing firearms simply for being on a no-fly list... who the **** do you think i meant?

yes, there is a reason for angry and distasteful remarks... your blatant and purposeful dishonesty being the chief reason... your abject stupidity following closely.

differing opinions I can most certainly respect and deal with.. lying and being flat out dumb are not.

don't lie and you can't be called a liar... it's really that simple.

That's not necessary IS IT?
yes , it is...it's necessary to point out he liars and lies they tell.. especially hen they are told with the sole purpose of violating our rights.....

So you cannot answer any of the questions asked..........

And can only share your bile ...........

Idiotic ****ing bull****. Do you know the difference between a background check and what Hawaii did?

Hawaii passed a gun law which yall seem to thing is unconstitutional..............which you cannot prove so.......

As they say on the street......

Yall are just blowing smoke

Nothing you say is an answer to the questions posed or in proof of your claim the state passing a gun law is unconstitutional........

Now let me save you some time............you will never find proof that what you say is anywhere close to being so...........So just give up and do the right thing......

Admit you may have been .........shall we say to save face..........mistaken
