A personal offer to any willing members of the LGBT community...Gun Training/Advice

Re: A personal offer to any willing members of the LGBT community...Gun Training/Advi

More than likely you'd cop a felony for carrying in the bar on one of the thousand nights no active shooter shows up... :peace

I would rather be judged, than be teats up laying in a box.

Re: A personal offer to any willing members of the LGBT community...Gun Training/Advi

But love your bigotry, how 'noble' of you to help the more gentle gay folks... :doh

Honestly, I'm with him:

Of the poll’s nearly 900 respondents, 57% say they intend to vote for Clinton, while Bernie Sanders received 32% of the votes. With only 30 votes, Donald Trump came in fourth place, trailing behind a group of undecided Democrats. Only 52 of the 895 respondents say they are registered Republicans.

Gay Voters Overwhelmingly Support Hillary Clinton in New York - Fortune

I would think a "soft target" for an armed robbery or carjacking would be anyone with a Bernie or Hillary bumper sticker, especially if they're driving a Subaru or Volvo. That's not bigotry. It's common sense.

Ahhh the trite and meaningless response...

Fact is you are FAR more likely to be a bangers shower buddy than teats up in any box. But you seem a bit shy to say what you do... very quick to say gays are more gentle...

I understand... far easier to judge others than be honest and open about yourself. Perhaps you could CCW in your nearest gay bar rather than offer to teach the gentle gays to shoot... yanno a sheepdog among the sheeple... :peace

Fact is in a building with three hundred-plus people in it the only guy apparently carrying a gun was the security guard, who happened to be an off-duty policeman. The rest of them ran for their lives, got shot, played dead, or just became dead victims. I'd call them soft targets.

Where did I say that gays are more gentle? Your argument is based on assumptions, and stereotyping.

:2brickwal ( <--- me butting my head against the brick wall of some DP members)

OK, I withdraw my offer of help (in public).

It is abundantly apparent no one wants it nor cares for any.

My polite offering thread has digressed into a steamy pile of crap.

As per usual when someone tries to offer any help on here, they get jumped on.

Screw it!

Most feel they should remain soft targets to any and all who wish them harm. I made a real and genuine offer to change that.

However, my PM is open for any who still wish to accept my offer of free firearms training, free ammo, and training on a variety of weapons in case you have an opportunity to grab one of theirs and turn it against them.

You do not need anything other than the desire to not be a victim.

Just PM me, and we can leave these others to themselves. Chances are if you accept in public, you will get jumped on too for not being a black drag queen superman.
:gunner::shock:

:2no4:
If I've offended you, I apologize. Your offer is very generous and could help many people. I just wanted to point out problems that exist under current Texas law and that even CHL holders are prevented by law from carrying past a TABC sign.

Re: A personal offer to any willing members of the LGBT community...Gun Training/Advi

Not theoretical at all. You are FAR more likely to cop a felony for illegal carry than EVER confront a terrorist in a redneck bar. So are you saying you routinely carry into bars??? I'll wager a shiny nickel you don't.

As far as off topic- I was responding to YOUR comments...

But love your bigotry, how 'noble' of you to help the more gentle gay folks... :doh

I spent a dozen years as a firearm instructor, have to say the 'gentle' cuts across the board- from race, gender, economic status, and sexual orientation. However I guess you have a lot more time in a gay bar than me, perhaps I should defer to your vast experience with CCW in gay bars???? :peace

...and you cannot see how your posts are completely off topic and have NOTHING to do with what I offer those of their community for free.

Rather than see it as a nice gesture, you would prefer to knit-pick over some minor comment.

If you look at those that LIKED what I said in my original post, you will see they " get it ", rather than be drawn off on some tangent that means ZERO.

Thank you, and I accept your apology. You are a rare breed, and I respect you for it.

I am just very frustrated that only one sentence seems to be read and commented on that really has very little to do with this thread and my offer.

I only made one off-handed comment about a re3dneck bar and it seems that is all anyone and everyone chooses to talk about, not the free firearms training. A full day or two course WITH GUN AND AMMO will be in the range of several hundred dollars, and here I am giving it away for free, and yet all anyone wants to talk about is Texas's 51% law and black Amazon transvestites.

completely missing the point.

It seems like they are purposely looking to some minor point to drag on and on about that has nothing to do with the thread.

Re: A personal offer to any willing members of the LGBT community...Gun Training/Advi

Well, looky here. It seems a shooting range in Houston, TX has decided to do what I also offered, but they got 550 people from the LGBT community to sign up.

When one individual can inflict over 100 killed or wounded, that is about as accurate a definition of a soft target as you can get.

I am glad these people have decided to buck their usual anti-gun sentiments and decided to NOT become victims any more.

The best way to fight crime is to shoot back.

Dear Friend,

I wanted to share the message below from Jeff Sanford, General Manager of the Shiloh Shooting Range in northwest Houston.

We were all shocked by the tragedy perpetrated by a heartless terrorist in Orlando. As we as a country debate our response to this tragedy, it's inspiring to see Jeff and the Shiloh Shooting Range reach out to the LGBT Community about the 2nd Amendment. Jeff says it best when he says, "As gun owners and gun advocates, this is truly a golden opportunity to gain a very passionate group of 2nd Amendment advocates with open arms."

I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July weekend.

Thank you,

Justin W. Williamson
Director of Communications
Texas State Rifle Association

*******************************
Dear Alice,

Thank you for reaching out to us here at Shiloh Shooting Range (NW Houston) about our offer to the local LGBT community. After the slaughter in Orlando, my family put our heads together to do something for the LGBT community here in town. We decided to offer free LTC classes to the friends of our friend and customer, Ryan Thomas. We asked him to spread the word among his friends and let the LGBT folks know that we were here to help and empower them. Americans helping Americans, Texans helping Texans. Ryan was very appreciative of the offer, and told us he would do his best to spread the word.

We thought we might have a couple of classes with 30-40 people total. When I was contacted by Channel 2 news the next day, I had a feeling that number would grow. And grow it certainly did! We are now at 13 classes with over 550 people signed up. I admit that around 200 students, as GM of our family owned and operated small business, I began getting nervous about the number of students we were racking up. I convened a family meeting and asked my folks "how many more of these can we possibly do?" To which my mom responded with a smile "all of them." And our calling to empower this historically vulnerable community plowed full steam ahead...

As gun owners and gun advocates, this is truly a golden opportunity to gain a very passionate group of 2nd Amendment advocates with open arms. This community’s response tells me they have been waiting for an invitation from us. The opportunity to take a class with like-minded folks, free of judgement, is what has appealed so greatly to so many of them. In the past, we've offered free classes to veterans, LE, faculty, clergy, animal rescue advocates, etc. Out of all of those free classes, we would be lucky to have maybe 20% who signed up actually show up. After 3 LGBT classes, we've had 94% attendance. This is a movement among these folks, and this is our opportunity to welcome them to OUR community...

Shoot Straight,

Jeff Sanford
