Seattle moves forward with “gun violence tax” on all weapons, ammo......

What do you think about this one? Costing the city and the taxpayers both money and time. All to make a political statement about wanting to restrict gun owners Rights. What say ye?

This week the Seattle City Council moved one step closer to imposing a sweeping sales tax on both weapons and ammunition which appears to fly in the face of a thirty year old state law banning such restrictions. A committee vote took place on Wednesday and the proposal will move to a full vote tomorrow.

This isn’t a tax intended to raise revenue for vital services. It’s a political statement. That’s why the supporters of the proposal even call it the gun violence tax. They’re not expecting to raise cash or reduce violence. They’re simply looking to show their base constituents how “serious” they are about restricting gun rights. The irony behind all of this is that the city will doubtless face a series of expensive lawsuits if the tax is put in place and they’ll probably lose. In the end they will wind up getting no revenue and the taxpayers will be stuck with the bill for the court costs and associated expenses.....snip~

However I work in Seattle so the stating out of seattle thing is difficult, unless I'm fine with not making money

It gets worse for them once they start the Civil War. That's where it will all count.

What's gona happen is one day the people without the guns are gona push the people with the guns to far and then the people without the guns are gona die.

But politicians don't worry about spending public funds to buy votes. It's a shame those who vote for them don't see it. Even worse, some do and don't care as long as they get what they want.

I truly, deeply hate KitKat's auto-correct. If I showed you the amount and types of 'corrections' it wanted me to post, you would pull out all the hair on your body in madness.

Pic or it didn't happen. :2razz:

Just come visit, it's right off the River Road about 2 miles south of the Puyallup City limit, they have terrible coffee (which I would never know from first hand experience :lamo) so just get it at starbucks instead
