Why does congress borrow what it was granted the authority to coin and set the value of?

If the shoe fits bud, wear it- that aside, are you not paying your user fees? Are those user fees not in perpetuity? Will you ever be out of debt to the lender?
Being in debt to makes one a slave to- there is no way around it.

So, what do you propose?

Some of the Jewish families oft quoted in myth and legend as "owners of the planet" still weren't powerful enough to stop the Gestapo from arresting their best bankers.

Like my paternal grandfather, banker to Louis Rothschild.

View attachment 67263341

They didn't want to kill him, he had too much money. Twenty-five million Marks in GOLD. (Appx $430 Mn today)
He held out for two years, getting beaten senseless every day.
He finally ransomed himself out, handed over his entire fortune, just as Louis had to, difference is, they allowed Louis to flee to exile.

If these Jewish bankers were so powerful, how come they couldn't stop the rape and loot of their foremost people?
Not just my grandfather, but even Louis. Louis was family. They couldn't even protect their own family, their own flesh and blood.

My grandfather emerged a broken man, nearly deaf, nearly blind, a skeleton of his former self.
I was lucky to know him, but it wasn't till I was much older and he was long since cold in the ground that I learned what a man he was, and what he had been through, and what my own father had been through.

My life certainly would have been a lot different as heir to part of a half billion dollar fortune, but clearly we will never see a dime of it.
So much for the myth of the all powerful Rothschild family, who by that time had spread most of their 18th and 19th century fortune far and wide. The Third Reich and WW2 in general saw to it that most of their fortunes got scattered to the Four Winds.
Corporate banking took care of the rest.

Thank you for the post. Jews are nothing more than a political pawn for the republicans to use. On one hand they are outraged when a democratic congressperson says something that doesn't defend israel and on the other hand defend the 'good people' who were among those marching, carrying torches and chanting jews will not replace us. Shameful.

Hatred and greed are boundless and for some reason or other it seems embedded in human nature. Let's hope it never completely wins.

When you borrow other people's money, they have a right to be compensated for the risk. You are not a slave. If you want to be free of your obligations, pay it back or don't borrow. For Pete's sake, don't whine about it.

Just curious-

(Note - added the question to the quote.)

Most modern monetary systems do not work that way, and in terms of Fiat Money Systems (which the Dollar is now) the value is "let it be."

Because unlike my kids, they have no idea how to manage a budget.

He's not necessarily talking about himself. The government doesn't have to borrow with interest. It can "coil' it's own, without interest. The user fee's are the taxes, on just about everything now. There's no getting around that. Even the government, as long as it's borrowing money, can't get around it. Well, they could. They could repeal the Fed. Res. Act and just start printing money. But people would die before the fed allowed that to happen.

LMAO.. To answer the OP's question of why does congress borrow when it has the authority to coin or print it's own.

Because that's the way it's always been (for us). And you know, as long as it's always been that way, then it must be right, right?
