Looks like the tax cuts for Billionaires aren't panning out. April is a month that usually has a hearty surplus. April 2019 was $49 Billion lower than April 2018.

Which lies and excuses would you prefer? I have normal ones, outrageous ones, and the ones from the Obama administration none of y'all wanted to talk about back then.

Oh, my, now the surplus isn't big enough for you? What the hell is wrong with you people, since when has deficits prevented you from getting your welfare checks? Let me know when Trump generates that trillion dollar deficit you have been projecting for some time?

He's well on his way to $1 Trillion dollar deficits. For you to say anything otherwise, just demonstrates the dishonesty and ignorance of your posts.

Any LIE or EXCUSE will do. Isn't that what we continue to see? The Billionaire lies manifested to folks such as yourself.

Well on his way??? With a surplus in April, 3.2% GDP growth, and 263,000 new taxpayers?? nothing independent about you

How does a billionaire keeping more of what THEY Earn hurt you, your family, or the country? Is it a lie that 44% of income earning families according to the IRS aren't paying any Federal Income Taxes? You really are jealous of what others have and pay, aren't you? Look in the mirror to see the reason why you aren't among them

Facts are facts. You can spout all the peripheral statistics you want. The deficit has risen since Trump took office, and it is continuing to rise every month.

yes, 7 interest rate hikes will do that. Continuing to rise?? No trillion dollar deficits! Explain how a 1.4 trillion dollar discretionary budget for 330 million Americans creates trillion dollar deficits? How about getting 44% of income earning Americans to pay some FIT?

Hogwash! Now you're deflecting and blaming Trump's deficits on interest rate hikes.

So debt service isn't affected by interest rate hikes?? You continue to show how poorly educated you are on this issue and have no idea what the line items in the budget are. 1.4 trillion is discretionary and over 3 trillion entitlement spending, which one is causing the deficits?

Prove that Trump's skyrocketing deficits are due to interest rate hikes. You continue with your nonsensical claims. So many on these forums realize just how ridiculous your bias assertions are, that they don't respond to your garbage.

That is all I get from you, garbage and left wing opinions from a so called independent. What exactly was the 2018 deficit?

Government - Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding

You are so right, interest on the debt has ZERO affect on the deficit, ROFLMAO

Government - Interest Expense on the Debt Outstanding

Are you mature enough to admit when wrong? How about calling Treasury and telling them you are right and they are wrong?

I didn't say that interest hikes don't add to the debt. I said that they are not the primary driver of Trump's skyrocketing deficit. Interest payments on the debt are all the more reason that Trump should not skyrocket the deficit!!! Your arguments are absurd and ridiculous.

You just can't be mature enough to admit you are wrong, 65 billion of the 117 billion increase in the 2018 deficit was interest expense according to Treasury and the data I posted for you. Another 50 billion was entitlement spending increases, neither of these expense items have anything to do with Trump yet you keep showing how little you know and how you continue to blame Trump for "exploding the deficit" Does 65 billion in debt service increases and 50 billion in entitlement spending increases indicate to you an exploding TRUMP DEFICIT? Are you mature enough to admit when wrong?

Well, if that's the case, I think I'll blame you personally, and everyone who shares your ideology.

What is it about liberalism that creates this kind of loyalty? Post 17 and any other posts that refute your opinions are ignored as is your claim of Trump responsibility for rising deficits as you won't address the Mandatory spending in the budget or how the discretionary spending created the deficits you want to blame on Trump. Keep running like most liberals

What is it about Conservatives that they wear blinders to their Party's skyrocketing deficits? They certainly cannot say that they haven't been warned. Over and over and over...

Trump's Path to a Balanced Budget Paved With Accounting Gimmicks - Bloomberg

And the BS just continues, as the billionaires pocket their accumulated tax cut wealth, while everybody else inherits a Trillion Dollar Deficit. Those are facts. Remove the blinders!!!

Absolutely stunning how you believe saying the same thing over and over again makes it true! Mandatory vs. Discretionary Learn the difference

Trump-O-Meter: Balance the federal budget 'fairly quickly' | PolitiFact

I don't call doubling or tripling the deficit "balancing the budget".... These guys are nothing but a bunch of A**holes.

It is absolutely true that neither Trump nor Republicans in Congress seem to have managed to curb the deficit as promised. However, is it really fair to blame Trump specifically or his tax cuts? I am by no means a fan of Donald Trump, but he is not alone making budgeting calls and he wasn't there when plenty of very expensive programs were put in place. I am not sure exactly what you would want him to do either.

Substantial tax cuts for billionaires, during a healthy economy is a ridiculous move. Trump had all the answers during his campaign. Where are the results. Trillion Dollar deficits!!!

For starters, if you're trying to corner Trump on hypocrisy, you'll have to argue he implanted long term tax cuts for short term effects. If you're thinking about how the tax system should work in the long run, it doesn't matter that the economy is booming or not. You just put the tax cut in effect when you have the political support.

I am not trying to defend his tax plan, by the way. I have no opinion on whether it was right or wrong.
