The LP is the third largest party after the dems and repubs, thats fact. There have been libertarians that have been voted into office, but the mainstream media and the political scene is rigged to exclude third parties. But time will eventually prove the LP right since America is sliding backwards. You'll see this in about 10-20 years thereabouts.
Nope, charities do not fail. America became great because of philantrophic rich people, not because of welfare- in fact the nation is sliding backwards because of welfare right now. If poor people want stability then they need to stop being lazy and work for once, instead of panhandling.
The fact is that Libertarians haven't been elected to anything. In fact, they are so chicken**** that they don't even run as Libertarians, they run as Republicans. How many Libertarians have been elected president? How many have been elected to the US House or Senate? Out of all of the branches of the federal government, how many Libertarians are serving or have ever served? Hell, you guys can't even sway an election from Democrat to Republican for vice versa. Libertarians are totally useless. If you somehow believe that Libertarians are going to somehow be magically relevant in 10-20 years you have some serious problems with interpreting reality from fantasy.
Have you ever heard of Ross Perot? He ran as an independent for the presidency in 1992 and got almost 20% of the popular vote. Guess how many electoral votes he got? Yes, that's right, zero. And Libertarians only get about half of that percentage of the vote. We are currently in a phase where both parties are getting more extreme so you are in LaLa Land if you think that the country is moving in the direction of Libertarianism in the next 10-20 years. Yes, there are more and more independents every year who want to shun both major parties but they're not voting Libertarian. Hell, even Weld has left the party.
