So the Meeting Didn’t Go So Well

I find this so sad. We're losing a lot by the loss of those family farms.

I have smoked pot most of my life, I rarely drive exactly the speed limit, sometimes I pee outside, laws are relative and no one is innocent.

People risking their freedom and families to find a better life for them are to be admired not persecuted.

Personally I don't believe in it but it does have some very good stories to teach the moral high ground.

Turning away refugees is. NOT the american way.

And when you actually face facts this IS a humanitarian crisis, but it is nothing close to a national security crisis...

Animals do not take a long truck ride with us. We go to them and they die where they lived, most of the time in the pasture.

We have a motto, any animal raised for meat should only have one bad day in it's life...

On the other side of that it is sad, I work with farmers everyday and although they are not struggling like homeless people living under a bridge, they are losing what in many cases their family took over a century to build...

Yep, national security for 330 million Americans but particularly the millions living close to the border is something you don't seem to understand. Finally a President who has the balls to do what he says and actually do what the Constitution requires. He was good at making the deal and that is knowing that sometimes there isn't a deal to be made at that point.
pelosi and schumer want to kick the can down the road and trump isn't playing there game.

he offered them a deal to re-open the government on their short term spending bill and expected to get something in return.
pelosi didn't want to play ball and so he walked out.

i don't blame him at all.

Maybe I'm nostalgic, but I remember a time when an illegal thug murdering a police officer in cold blood would have galvanized the nation. Now, they won't even say the officer's name (or offer condolences to his wife and son) but are sure to cry real and fake tears over children who died because their feckless fathers dragged them thousands of miles on a dangerous journey and denied they needed care.

Well the Democrats are not compromising. They said not a penny funding for the wall. That's not a negotiation. Trump was basically asked to bend to the Democrats or get lost. Why would anyone agree to that?
 
Walking out did not resolve anything. It seems like he was really pissed off considering all the latest tweets that he posted on his account.

Actually false. The democrats and republicans had already in march.. passed a bipartisan bill.. which trump signed which increased pay for border security and funded the government.

The democrats and republicans had another bill on the table.. and it passed the senate that again would have funded the government and given more to border security.. and Trump suddenly came out against it.. because it didn;t include 5 billion for his ridiculous wall.. which anyone with any lick of sense realizes isn't needed. In fact.. we already have barriers etc up.

The president threw a hissy.. because Limbaugh and Hannity going on the air and saying he needed to be tougher on the democrats.

THATS whats happened.

the only radical here is you. and the rest of the Trump supporters who will support him no matter how idiotic.

And it is a concern to me. We actually have real needs when it comes to solving immigration.. not to mention having real budget issues. And it makes a heck of a lot more sense to spend money WHERE IT WILL WORK.. and not on a symbol that's nothing more than a political prop.

Of course.. that's just me as a conservative talking who things money.. any money.. that's the taxpayers money should be spent wisely. Now.. others.. who are not conservative? they will say.. whats the big deal.. its just a little money (5 Billion).

Right.. lets get this straight. SO.. they will fund the government. Give billions in extra money for border security.. so on and so forth. Basically everything that the republicans want... except.. they don't want to spend 5 billion on a wall.. that even the Donald cannot tell them what it will be.. what it will actually cost and how it will actually help anything.

The president then shuts down the government because he doesn;t get his way.. on just this one thing. And its democrats that won't compromise?

Please. The only one that's not compromising here is trump.. and people who are objective get that. The republicans and dems had already passed prior bills, bipartisan bills.. that would fund the government and give more money for border security... and its the president that nixed it.. over his not getting his wall.
