No you are thinking of the big corporate farms, to Wisconsin had a record number of family dairy farms go out of business last year.
I work for a meat locker and we do on farm kills, we have a waiting list of animals to butcher months long because farmers can't afford to feed them and are culling their animals.
Milk just like corn and all farm products are subsidized, but it is the large corporate farms that are taking advantage of that, and the cheep foreign labor (much like trump at his properties) the family farms are dropping left and right...
I find this so sad. We're losing a lot by the loss of those family farms.
Saving how many animals from the "long truck ride"..........
