Am I the only one who has noticed that the only two numbers the President can recall with regularity, are 700 billion and 716 billion. :doh

He certainly has a deficit. But I didn't notice that particular pattern in his wild misrepresentation of numerical facts.

Cannot help but notice a bunch of liberal/progressive/radicals now all upset over the deficit after enduring Obama's four straight years of trillion dollar deficits with not a peep! It does seem that a group of radicals who never saw a dollar that they wouldn't spend are now upset

Last year, we secured a historic $700 billion to rebuild our military. And now the National Defense Authorization Act paves the way for 1,700 — listen to this now. So we’ve been trying to get money. They never gave us money for the military for years and years. And it was depleted. We got $700 billion. And next year, already approved, we have $716 billion to give you the finest planes and ships and tanks and missiles anywhere on earth.”

— President Trump, speaking to Army soldiers at Fort Drum, N.Y., on Monday
