So, did Trump promise this?

In an annual budget review, the White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) estimated that new legislation enacted since the release of its February budget — alongside new projections on other spending and receipts — would add $101 billion more to the 2019 deficit, pushing it above $1 trillion.

“This is a striking acknowledgement following almost two years of claims that economic growth unleashed by these policies will wipe deficits away,” said Maya MacGuineas, president of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

lol...Scammer in Chief winning again.

But, hey. At least the Right now has judges they think are on thier side. I hope that is worth it.

The GOP took care of their corporate masters and donors. That is all that matters to today's Trumpian GOP.

As always, they'll leave the mess for Democrats to clean up and scream bloody hell about the trillion dollar deficits (they they engineered in 2017).

As if the deficit damage isn't yet enough, Trump and the GOP are talking about additional tax cuts (they gotta do all their tax/fiscal damage before November).

It's only "soshalizm" when you use deficits to help people of color.

If the US was homogenously white, we would be more socialist than Norway. And, everyone would be living high on the hog of the nation's accumulated wealth. THe only barrier to us having nice things is the rampant racism that drives about 30% of the country to hate the brown people and deny them anything.

No. We wouldn't. We would actually be the representative republic that was designed by the founders and we'd be better for it. Slavery ****ed America for all time.

It's Congress that passes the budget.

The party that bitched for 6 years about Obamas deficit now own it. They have morgaged this country's future with the tax cuts. They are speculating the economy will grow, of course this was before Trumps un necessary trade war. The GOP is fiscally irresponsible. One does not need an economics degree to see
serious faults in Trumps economic policy.

Norway is far less homogeneous than some might imagine. Immigration has been going on for decades. But I agree, the GOP has perpetuated the idea that government goodies go to Those People and not white folk. This is odd because West Virginia is 94% white and a third of residents receive Medicaid.

I understand your desire to indemnify Trump from any criticism. Yes, the Congress passes the budget but the president makes a budget submission to Congress first. Moreover, it was both the President and the GOP controlled Congress that passed the tax-cuts for the rich and corporations that are largely responsible for current and future deficits.

It is either irony or hypocrisy that the party that was such deficit hawks under Obama -- even wanting him to cut spending during the Great Recession, that now doesn't mention the large deficits they are creating in an up economy.

The Republican Party over Country Party

Exactly & I have thought for decades, how ironic it is that the white man ****ed up this nation by importing slaves because the white man was too lazy to do a job

I think we are heading for big trouble with unsustainable fiscal polcies.

The Republican way of cuting taxes and not reigning in spending is unsustainable.
The Democrat way of even MORE spending and chasing it with tax increases is even crazier.

Both think they're 100 % right and the other is 100% wrong. despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

It's not promising

Except when it was Obama blame

It's funny how any time I defend Trump I'm told I'm a partisan, despite me being politically Left, and the people telling me I'm partisan being politically Left as well as arguing for the political Left.

I don't know how you conclude that raising taxes is crazy. The current tax-rates are among the lowest in a century. Under Reagan, we had enough money to do much, while the top tax-rate was 50%, and I don't remember rich people having to beg for quarters in the park to make ends meet.

Come on... Obama reduced the deficit. This sudden forgetfulness on the right is tiresome.

After your guy borrowed 10 trillion in just 8 yrs, yea the judges Trump picked are worth it. It's worth it just watching your party going ballistic over his picks.

Nice Try, in reality Obama raised the national debt by 10 trillion in just 8 yrs.
