Should the VA be abolshed?

Oh well, sorry!
Imagine being strapped and strung up spread eagle for a kidney stent procedure on one of those special articulated tables with a bunch of medical students standing around. That's been my wife a few times.

No complaints. I'm simply affirming that VA hospitals are teaching hospitals.

Accessible health services are not the only problem. Accessible VA care is also a big problem. Their service, in general, is extremely subpar. Sure, there may be some bright spots here and there but, overall, they suck.

Since you aren't really backing anything up, it just boils down to how you feel.
In other words, in the words of The Dude:

And what is meant by "accessible" anyway? Handicap accessible? VA hospitals and clinics are the most handicap accessible buildings on the planet.
Are you talking about veterans being able to ACCESS the CARE that they need?
That boils down to what mood Congress happens to be in, because if they don't feel like funding it, it's not going to happen.

I've probably repeated this one gigantic issue a dozen times now:
If you maintain health care budgets as discretionary spending while holding out building maintenance and remodeling as non-discretionary, you're going to wind up with a lot of pretty looking recently remodeled hospital buildings with NO DOCTORS in them.
