A Government shutdown looms!?

Uh, noooooo, I just understand that the Republicans are charge and they've lost control.
 
The Democrats blinked, first, and in record time. Trump has been a blessing to the Republicans. In the past, the Republicans always caved first, even when in the right. Trump has helped them grow a set. The main stream media will historically apply pressure, blame the Republican, until the Republicans cave. This time, the Republicans got ahead of the game, and naturalized it before it was active.

This turns of events is going to be a three for one for the Republicans. National polls indicated that most Americans did not think defending illegals was worth everyone in the country, suffering due to lost government jobs and lost civilian services. The first benefit was connected to the left changing their tune about the government shut down, in record time. They are vulnerable. The second benefit, connected to the original vote, will occur in the midterms. This vote will be brought up in campaign adds. The Democrat candidates shows a wellness to will sell out their constituency for people who cannot even vote for them. The third benefit is immigration reform now has a national mandate based on put America first. The solution can be generous with the dreamers, but it has to seal the border or else Americans will suffer like the Democrats wanted.

The Democrats are losing it. They believe their own propaganda, and need to get out more. They should have voted for the extension and then address DACA as a separate issue, during the immigration reform debate. This would buffer them for the midterms, since this approach does not impact Americans the same way, when all government services are not shut down. Trump is the master negotiator. They fell for the trap. Trump lived in NY and knows all the Democrat playbook. It is getting old and tired and too easy to neutralize.
