Despite being a massive Trump supporter, my boss tried to convince me that the government is about to run out of printing money and that he is really worried about other countries taking over the US Dollar. I asked him why he is worried about these things, and he just said it's gonna happen and that it's gonna be really bad. He talks about this topic constantly and has really no evidence of this impending doom besides for rampant speculation and weird what-if scenarios that never see the light of day.

I thought all these people died out after the Obama era, but it seems they are still alive and well in Trump land.

What is the point of constantly worrying about economic collapse?

It will happen... just not yet.... maybe not for another 30 years..... but one day, we will pay for the debt we are in and our lack of initiative to our competitors.

I'm more worried about the stock market being over valued and climbing so high so fast. Fees like an empty bubble that will burst if you ask me.

When a Ponzi scheme like Fiat Currency is the backbone of your economy and is supported by "confidence," as in confidence game, the risk of collapse is eternal. The US debt, direct and unfunded liabilities, will consume all. The money people will look for sound currency as the only realistic alternative. That would be money that is not money because we say it is, but has a tangible linkage.
