So.........

Why are the republicans in charge of the house and senate or the current administration doing anything about it?

Trump didn't hire her.

She held this position from November 2015 - June 2017. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/mission-matters-hui-chen

Moreover, she was active against Trump's election long before this resignation:

Top Justice Department Lawyer Explains Why She Quit Her job

Trying to hold companies to standards that our current administration is not living up to was creating a cognitive dissonance that I could not overcome.

A top Justice Department corporate crime expert has quit, saying it’s impossible to hold suspected lawbreakers to standards that President Donald Trump is not meeting himself.

Hui Chen, who was the compliance counsel in the fraud unit of DOJ’s criminal division, discussed her reasons for quitting in a LinkedIn post published June 25. She wrote that it was impossible to sit across from corporate representatives and demand a basic standard of behavior that is not being enforced in the White House.

Trying to hold companies to standards that our current administration is not living up to was creating a cognitive dissonance that I could not overcome,” Chen wrote in her post, which was first reported by the International Business Times.

Even as I engaged in... questioning and evaluations, on my mind were the numerous lawsuits pending against the President of the United States for everything from violations of the Constitution to conflict of interest, the ongoing investigations of potentially treasonous conducts, and the investigators and prosecutors fired for their pursuits of principles and facts,” she wrote. “Those are conducts I would not tolerate seeing in a company, yet I worked under an administration that engaged in exactly those [conducts]. I wanted no more part in it.”

People are just riding this Administration out until it's gone or in jail. :2razz:
Our government has always had questionable ethics. Congress routinely exempts itself from laws that the rest of us have to live under. And she's just now developed a moral conscience?

Sorry, not impressed.

Not trying to impress you, her credentials speak for themselves

She and her situational morals don't impress me. Government is self-serving, regardless who is in power. What she's basically saying, albeit probably not intentionally, is that self-serving government is ok as long as it's in line with her convictions. I'm sorry, that's hypocrisy.

No need to apologize to me or her, we don't know you.

But you appear to know her ... that's odd.

She made a public statement, or stance. By choice. That's what we have to go on. If she wanted us to know more, she should have provided more. You seem to have made a decision based on her public stance, too. Why the selective criticism just because I disagree with your conclusion?

Before I even saw your post, I figured as much. Good, let her be a quitter, don't need a quitter around anyways.

Same here. The statement says she couldn't hold “Trying to hold companies to standards that our current administration is not living up to was creating a cognitive dissonance that I could not overcome.” and then says “Even as I engaged in... questioning and evaluations, on my mind were the numerous lawsuits pending against the President of the United States for everything from violations of the Constitution to conflict of interest, the ongoing investigations of potentially treasonous conducts, and the investigators and prosecutors fired for their pursuits of principles and facts,”

So by her own words there were lawsuits and investigations the administration was involved in. but...no convictions. All this is is she doesn't like the administration and wanted to get some media attention to take a stab at them on the way out.
The justice department became cancerous under Holder and Lynch. I am sure there are many more that we could do without in that department.

So anti-Trump Obama admin. appointee decided to quit her job and you think that she's objective about her reasons. She sounds like what I would expect you would sound like in the same position - filled with hate towards the President and willing to do anything to sling mud.

I cannot blame good people for not wanting to work for his assclown. Why enable someone to destroy important American institutions and do harm to the nation and its people?

Obama's not President any longer.

There was an election on Nov. 8, 2016 and a certain Donald J. Trump defeated Hillary Rotten Clinton handily.

funniest post of the last ten minutes.

funniest post of the last ten minutes.

Not funny at all. I'm not sure if it is in the history books yet but any idiot can tell that since Trump is president and is in the White House, he did indeed win the election. Actually, that is rather funny. I particularly find the rabid left's inability to accept reality quite hilarious.

After Obama borrowed 10 TRILLION in just 8 yrs you would think we would have gotten a little more for our buck, wouldn't you say?

Given where it started on his day one - progress does not come cheap.

yeah well to a leftist, to grow the economy means throw money at it and problem solved. 10 TRILLION in 8 yrs and an anemic GDP to show for it is not my idea of progress. Far from it. I call that a total failure.
