The moment I heard the results of the 2016 election that gave us Trump, I turned my head and said to sis, "Welcome to the 240 year war."

I started this thread for two reasons...first to establish a claim made back then is public as of this date...that is just in case a book comes out with the same title, I can show plausible deniability should the occasion arise that someone accuses me of reading the book and I claim that I haven't...I've been accused basically of being a liar under similar circumstances...movin' on...

1776 to 2016...240 years.

Trump won on a propaganda campaign and appealed to enough people in the right way to get over the hurdle...a win.

Problem is, it isn't really a win for those who got him there...and certainly not for those who knew better than to support him...he has to play the base because he needs them and it's no longer about vote count...the fools who flipped are just collateral damage

It's a war...240 year war and an escalation of WWIII

footnote: shortly later in my sketchbook this...

"To help understand Trump, picture a 12 year old Kim Jong Un in charge of only 1/3rd. of the country.
Makes for a frustrated wannabe dictator."

AYSM:

I forgot to mention, be very wary of the piece that was added to the end of the video by whomever posted it. It detracts from the weight of what Christopher Hedges says based on his years of personal experience covering war and empire.

The interview was from March of 2015 and it is interesting how Hedges' warnings of American radicalism at both ends of the political spectrum are playing out two and a half years later.

Cheers.
