Our Early Investments Defined Us: Initial United States Priorities

Instead of the Obama administration’s liberal vision of an all-encompassing government that solves all of our problems and regulates every aspect of American life, from the energy used by pool heaters and the snacks served by mothers at school to how an individual can deal with his backyard pond, our citizens have voted for us to establish an environment that fosters the creation of private sector jobs, to get the economy growing again and to assure our security at home and abroad.
Our founding fathers were pretty good judges of character. They understood the pall that falls on a society when it is smothered by government power as was the norm in the world at that time. Joe and Jane pint o' lager were getting nowhere. We needed a middle class. That was along time coming.

When Democrats are out of options, they make everything about race.
Joe Biden is the Democrats “new blood”.
American students want to be "happy". Chinese students want to rule the world.
It's hard to match the burning, visceral hate a liberal can bring to bear.

It's not a secret (historically) that big government almost always leads to totalitarianism, which is why the millennial shift towards socialism is so scary. Fundamentally it seems to me that the difference between the left and the right is that the left wishes for equality of outcome whereas the right wishes for equality of opportunity.

Infrastructure created some monopoly type Corporations that have worked to the puclic's detriment. Our Internet is a controlled wire instead of free public satellites. Our Utilities are designed like a video game and Big Corporations just insert their new unit, power plant, into the existing infrastructure. Big Pharma is allowed to and protected to rip us off. Big Medical is using gov't paid insurance to circumvent competition. GMO's are patenting our agricultural bounty to our detriment and are protected by the gov't. Our phones and internet are bugged. More and more cops all over the place with lots more weapons. Crime business is good as long as we keep making more things illegal for business reasons. Private prisons benefit from more laws, especially when their gov't contracts guarantee 95% occupancy rates. Railroad right of ways were gifts that keep on giving to the wealthy of the mid 1800's. The bigger the Bank, the bigger the crook. Where do you start? The USA was started by a group of rich white guys trying to build a country that was good for business and people like themselves. Success used to be nearly guaranteed by hard work. Not so, any more. The harder you work, the less you get paid.
