"Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

I don't watch TV, and therefore don't subscribe to cable. Is it that hard to find a written source?

By withholding, do you mean "not giving them additional money that they're not entitled to receive in the first place?"

You have internet, is it that hard to find a written source or do you need it handed to you so you can say, fake news.

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

NJ says Hello Donald. Going to mail ballots to all registered voters who can then use them or vote in person. I like this idea. Overwhelm Bozo the President with states supporting mail-in. Time to fight fire with fire.

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

Do you have any sources that aren't behind pay walls?

Trump said that on FOX business news

On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump took to Fox Business Network to say the quiet part out loud: He is holding up funding of the U.S. Postal Service because “that means you can't have universal mail-in voting because they’re not equipped to have it.”

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

will mine if it is cancelled out by someones pet dog voting?

Pet dog? This is reality not some Disney cartoon.

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

Do you have any evidence of your claim or are you just parroting sources like CNN?

Claims not to watch TV. Pretends to know what CNN reports.

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

The correct answer is provide the USPS with the resources to properly deliver every vote in a timely manner.

As I said, if the USPS is not competent to deliver all the votes when there is not a surge of demand, what makes you think that they'll get it right with all the money in the world, especially when the election is less than three months away?

Universal mail-in voting would have to be implemented on a state-by-by state basis. If any states want it so bad, why can't they pay for it themselves? The USPS takes checks and even credit cards.

You have internet, is it that hard to find a written source or do you need it handed to you so you can say, fake news.

Against my better judgement (which says that people who make claims should provide evidence for them that's not hidden behind paywalls at biased websites), I took your advice and found Trump's exact words: "If we don’t make a deal, that means they don’t get the money. That means they can’t have universal mail-in voting; they just can’t have it.”

He said "universal mail-in voting. You understand there's a massive difference between "universal mail-in voting" and just plain old "mail-in voting," right? Right or wrong, Trump has long been vocally opposed to universal mail-in voting, so it should surprise no one that he wouldn't support a huge pile of money to make it possible now.

So the OP, and the LA-times headline were misleading, at best.

Claims not to watch TV. Pretends to know what CNN reports.

You quoted two different people. Do you even read your own nonsense before you hit "Post"?

Just what is it that makes you think there will not be a significant surge to vote my mail in the middle of a pandemic that has taken the lives of over 167,000 Americans?

That's not what I said, so I don't understand why you would ask that. I was talking about the supposed problem the Post Office had in the past with mail in ballots, when there was no indication of a surge in demand. Did you already forget what you posted, or are you deliberately dodging the point?

and why would a claim like that even matter as it is based on your assumptions and and a false premise?

It's based on a claim YOU made. What assumptions and false premise are you talking about?

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

Trump opposes Postal Service funding to undercut mail voting - Los Angeles Times

It's funny because several weeks ago, all the leftists here were trying to tell me that the federal government doesn't fund the postal service. And the LA Times is hardly a right-wing source. Plus this article is actually attacking Trump. If you google this topic, you can see SEVERAL left-leaning sources saying something similar to this article, such as NPR. So the US apparently does fund the USPS.

Voter suppression and jerri rigging congressional districts is the only way R's can win. They don't have the support of most of the people.

Who says the USPS is not competent to deliver all the votes?

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

You're no libertarian if you think a major government monopoly like the postal service shouldn't go private. The video is a few years old, before the COVID scare, showing that the government funds them.

It can't go private. There is much much rural America that only can receive mail by USPS. Because it's too costly to make money in those rural areas.

You're not even being coherent. Read back over our exchange and figure it out. I'm not going to repeat myself because you're intentionally being dense.

Re: "Trump admits to blocking Postal Service funding to undercut voting by mail"-LA Times article

And a person who votes multiple times in an election should get life in prison. And you guys just lie and say it doesn’t happen to cover it up.

You need to prove that it is happening with an investigation and then an indictment. Your partisan claims of vote fraud arent proof that it is actually happening in any significant numbers. 3 examples of vote fraud out of 10 million are statistically insignificant.

Your assumption was the post office was not competent to deliver all the votes.

The postal service has been going for over two hundred years and for some crazy reason this year there seems to be an abundance of problems. I wonder why?

Yet, leftists and Democrats do whatever they can to halt ANY investigation!

When did anyone halt investigations into vote fraud? Korbach made outrageous claims that then had to fall on trump's sword when his claims were proven false. Thre idea that trump and the GOP make these outlandish claims doesn't in any way mean that they are true, despite the fact that some people may be gullible enough to believe a claim because it conforms their political bias.

Again with those biased leftist "fact check" websites. Any time that anyone wants to investigate, leftists do whatever they can to stop it. NOTHING was proven false because NOTHING was investigated. It's outlandish that you claim 3 out of a million voter fraud cases exist. Nonsense. If people can hijack identities through identity theft, they can steal someone's identity through voter fraud.

By the way, you do realize that "progressive" means social engineering and social control, right?

What conservative boogeyman is that supposed to mean? Are you certain that there are no progressives under your bed and hiding in your closet just waiting for you to close your eyes before they enact their evil lefty agenda?

I dare you to prove a word of that because your claims don't rise to the level of proof.
