I agree with this. I won't be voting for either candidate, although Trump is infinitely worse as a human being and President, but all the talking points: "the radical left," "puppets of AOC," "abolish the police" all fall flat now. None of those things are remotely true, it seems like they were cooked up for Bernie and Trump's advisors forgot to update the talking points. She was a ruthless prosecutor. I live in Minnesota and regularly email Amy Klobuchar and ask her how she sleeps at night. It's fun when I start with "To Amy's staffer, who is now complicit in working for a person who spearheaded systematic racism in our city." I don't know what we do and don't agree on, but this thread is one of many straws we'll see partisans grasping for between now and election day.

Per the article I posted, in 1833 there 31,000 "free coloured" and 11,000 "free blacks" living in Jamaica. Where does Donald Harris say that he's decended from slaves?

There's no evidence that Harris is descended from Brown at all - aside from Donald Harris' claim. It is known that Brown did father at least two kids with a female slave of his, though.

I couldn't care less who she "descended" from. But, I am pleased to see her on the ticket, and fully expect to see her inaugurated as the 47th president of these United States.
