I just heard Nancy Pelosi on Fox News Sunday, this morning. And she reinforced what I already believed: She is surely the least bipartisan Speaker of the House, within my lifetime (beginning in 1948).

This is not to say that President Trump is entirely innocent here, either: He has sometimes baited her.

But I think that she has spoken pejoratively of him far more than vice-versa.

Someone complaining about someone supposedly speaking pejoratively of Trump?

List of nicknames used by Donald Trump - Wikipedia

Trump has no standing to complain, nor does anyone have standing to complain on his behalf. That's the first thing.

The second thing is that if a person is objectively bad, speaking warmly of them would be dishonesty.

Third, everyone should be speaking pejoratively about Trump and the GOP. They refused to try to meet the Dems in the middle or anywhere near the middle. They said "my way or the highway' after offering a faulty plan. And now Trump has gone and signed some EOs, much of which is outside his constitutional authority and much of which isn't going to help.

Take the 'tax deferment' of payroll tax. If that's all it is, companies will still have to pay it...just later in a lump sum. Morever, even if it was put in law and made permanent, they wouldn't pass it on to employees. They never do. And if it was made permanent, that would be the death knell of SS and Medicare.

I suppose it pales in comparison to their having quashed a Kushner plan early on for widespread COVID testing because it was spreading in blue states at the time, and they calculated they could get more political gain by letting people die and blaming blue governors for failing to prevent it. But it's still the same mix of ugly, dishonest, and incompetent.

She is a nasty individual.

She got scared that she would lose her power, so she caved to AOC and others of that ilk.

She was absolutely out of line to tear up President Trump's speech. She should never be forgiven for that.

And, of course, she made a fool of herself by kneeling, by excusing vandals with "People will do things," and using the term "Stormtroopers" to describe federal agents protecting federal buildings.

It is likely she will continue to be (at least for a while) the Speaker under President Biden. It will be wonderful when the younger members finally force her to retire and return to her non-diverse neighborhood of rich people in San Francisco.

It is nothing short of amazing how thin-skinned, fearful, and soft the vast majority of Trump supporters are.

That was a truly superb post--with one possible exception: I do hope that we will not have a "President Biden," as of January.

Pelosi is a disgustingly partisan, old-guard troll. She'd murder her own grandchildren to retain power in the House. She'd murder the rest of you to be able to control the puppet strings of Senile Joe.
