Will Democrats Allow Trump

I see what you did there, and it was wonderful.

I worked on a Santa Monica public access cable show featuring a 30 minute interview with Buk which was shot in 1977.
It only aired twice in a single week and has never been seen since, which means it's pretty much unreleased.

And it's awesome...but I do not own the rights so it is still sitting.
Maybe someday the guy that owns the rights will allow it to be released.

He got that interview because he made a bet that he could drink Buk under the table, and somehow he actually did!
And the next morning Buk made good and did the interview.

to issue executive orders to help the American people? I say no. They will fight him tooth and nail and claim abuse of power, maybe even wanting to impeach him for it.
As long as those orders are Constitutional and not requiring funding, let him have at it. But if not, shut him down!

Trump wanted the executive action all along.
Yep. Meadows was there to assure nothing got done, at least done past the initial GOP starting point.

Well that was interesting.

First, that was the tinniest cheapest, chumpass version of "Hail to the Chief" I have ever heard. It ended after only a few bars as somebody must have realized how low rent, low down it sounded. Can't afford a good sound system for your golf club Donnie? That said it was perfectly appropriate for low life Donald. Could not have been more appropriate.

Then Donnie boy went on to say what about a COVID Relief EO? He was going to sign it, was threatening to sign it, was committed to signing it.....WHAT???? Who the frigg knows. Donnie Gibberish characterized as the plain talking' President by some could not get his tongue out of the way of his teeth as usual in trying to spit out thoughts from that gum bail brain of his. He is a sick man. Its about time everybody realized it.
Before he went into a loud authoritarian enumeration of his proposed E.O's, I'm pretty sure I heard him say something more quietly to the effect concerning Pelos & Schumer not negotiating,

"If they don't (sic), I will sign executive orders ... "

He then immediately started authoritatively announcing his specific E.O.'s.

The Democrats are as much a part of it as Bukowski was a part of writing The Constitution, although I suspect if Buk had a hand in that it would include a lot more fun.

"To all my friends!!"

Bukowski!

Let's hope Henry Chinaski drops in!

Allow Trump?

Trump creates executive order. Trump's fat fingers sign executive order.

Democrats are not a part of the process.

Republicans complained when Obama said he would use the power of the pen, yet when Trump said he will do it it's ok? Hypocrite Alarm!!!!

I think the power of the EO has been growing substantially over the past few Presidents and it's been getting out of hand. It should be reigned in, the EO should not be a tool by which the President can legislate outside of Congress, the President is not King. I think any EO that pushes boundaries and is possibly an unconstitutional act by the President should be challenged.
I completely agree with this. Obama did things that made me uncomfortable and now Trump is too. I think these declarations of a state of emergency is slso being abused.

States of Emergency have been abused since FDR. People should be worried considering the amount of power it grants government and the agencies it grants and that it's only been reaffirmed, never canceled. But we got short memories.

He could have signed an executive order to faithfully execute our own laws regarding unemployment compensation in our at-will employment States, yesterday.

Is it any less hypocritical than Democrats who went along with Obama issuing EO's now complaining that Trump is using them. There is plenty of hypocrisy to go around on this issue.

Donald Trump doesn't "Do" kindness or helpfulness. I sense that the Repigathons have held back helping people so Donald can step in at the last second and Save us..Praise the Lard!

You were so happy when Obama did it.

Obama used his political power and influence to help people, except when he approved droning Al Awaki and his U.S. born son on non-belligerent, foreign soil.

Trump is obsessed with his own, imaginary, victimhood and frames every action in evening perceived slights to his magnificance.

"You'll get to meet the fake news tonight, get to see the people we deal with every day.... we have a lot of good news today, otherwise we wouldn't hold a press conference.....Its a political activity and also a peaceful protest" - Trump, 08-07-20

So.... who is POTUS, that mouthy "renegade" making lame excuses for violating the state of N.J.'s mandatory Covid-19 group gathering rules?

The ACA mandate, the fine on all "free riders", folks who refused to purchase healthcare coverage until they were sick enough or injured, protected those with pre-existing conditions. Trump party reduced the fine to zero, Trimp signed that legislation. Trump directed "his Roy Cohn" William Barr, to brief the SCOTUS to strike down the ACA because the mandate had been reduced to zero. The role of the DOJ is to defend the laws of the U.S. before the courst, unless there is greater harm defending a law, than arguing against it!

Here's What President Trump Has Said About DACA in the Past

....At the time, Trump said he would decide how to handle DACA in a few weeks after discussing it with Attorney General Jeff Sessions. In his announcement on Tuesday, Sessions called DACA “an unconstitutional exercise of authority by the executive branch.”...

“We will immediately terminate” DACA
“We will immediately terminate President Obama’s two illegal executive amnesties, in which he defied federal law and the constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants,” Trump said at a campaign event in August 2016, promising to end DACA as well as Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents.

That speech echoed the promise Trump made when he launched his presidential campaign on June 16, 2015. “I will immediately terminate President Obama’s illegal executive order on immigration, immediately,” he said at that time.

Speaking of hypocrits its no less hypocritical to support these covid mandates under the guise that because its such a severe circumstance that extreme measures are warranted but then to complain when the potus takes extreme measures to offer relief to people suffering as a result of the pandemic and a congress cant provide any because they are locked in a political stalemate.

Cult leader only wants to help America. Everyone should stand down and bow to the cult leader. Cult leader knows best.

Depends on what EOs he tries to implement, some of the things he suggested my not actually be within his power to order, there are limits to the Presidents powers.

Any precedent for handing out cash or benefits, suspending rent or student loans, or whatever via executive action will be useful for President AOC down the line.

AOC will get as far as the Bern..

ACA is a Bill that passed both Houses of Congress and signed by the President. It was not an EO. Portions of ACA have been struck down in the Courts but it was not an EO. Not even a nice try at an argument with merit BUCKO. In fact, ACA has over time turned into a rather useful AND POPULAR piece of legislation. Prepare to see it bolstered and fashioned to meet the Court's requirements as soon as we can get BOZO the President out of the Oval.

That was my question. So, you're saying that Democrats won't take Trump to court for signing executive orders which help the American people?
