to issue executive orders to help the American people? I say no. They will fight him tooth and nail and claim abuse of power, maybe even wanting to impeach him for it.
 
Trump wanted the executive action all along.

Democrats are not a part of the process.
 
Any precedent for handing out cash or benefits, suspending rent or student loans, or whatever via executive action will be useful for President AOC down the line.
 
Lol, when was the last time Trump has even tried to help the American people, much less be successful in it?
 
I think the power of the EO has been growing substantially over the past few Presidents and it's been getting out of hand. It should be reigned in, the EO should not be a tool by which the President can legislate outside of Congress, the President is not King. I think any EO that pushes boundaries and is possibly an unconstitutional act by the President should be challenged.
 
With the XO, Trump is baiting Democrats to go to court.

When money is involved Trump cannot order and executive order. It must go through congress.

I hope Trump does issue Executive Orders designed to protect the American People and I hope the democrats fight those orders every step of the way. Democrats are not concerned with results they are concerned with process and the power in the process. They want it their way or it's a "nonstarter".

If Trump had any desire to protect the American people he would have directed the Senate to negotiate the bill that passed the House 3 months ago. He is only interested in protecting himself now that he sees he is going to lose in November.

I'd have said before Trump we needed a new set of restrictions. After him, I mean, hell yeah we need a buttload of oversight and regulation on the Executive.

Have Meadows in Mnuchin negotiated honestly? I SAY NO.

In the first place Meadows could not negotiate for a tube of toothpaste. He is not cut from the negotiate mold. He was sent in to stonewall so the Senate could get to its three day vacation without doing anything and Donnie boy could look like he is saving the day with a EO. Nice try Donnie. You will fool your base and nobody else. Heck you might not even fool them.

Even I did not think Fat Donald could sink this low. I was wrong.
 
Well that was interesting.

First, that was the tinniest cheapest, chumpass version of "Hail to the Chief" I have ever heard. It ended after only a few bars as somebody must have realized how low rent, low down it sounded. Can't afford a good sound system for your golf club Donnie? That said it was perfectly appropriate for low life Donald. Could not have been more appropriate.

Then Donnie boy went on to say what about a COVID Relief EO? He was going to sign it, was threatening to sign it, was committed to signing it.....WHAT???? Who the frigg knows. Donnie Gibberish characterized as the plain talking' President by some could not get his tongue out of the way of his teeth as usual in trying to spit out thoughts from that gum bail brain of his. He is a sick man. Its about time everybody realized it.

The Democrats are as much a part of it as Bukowski was a part of writing The Constitution, although I suspect if Buk had a hand in that it would include a lot more fun.
