NYC sheriff to set up quarantine checkpoints at crossings into city

I wish he had done that in the other direction back in May ... when the infected NYC masses bolted for neighboring states and Florida.

Why would he restrict people leaving? Should that not be done by the sheriff of where the people are going?

So what is Florida doing to control their own outbreak? And the answer is nothing, because Democrats are elected to govern while Republicans are elected to wage cultural grievance battles. That's why New York got their outbreak under control and Florida never will, opting to create excuses, blame games and other useless narratives...like you did just now.

It's unconstitutional.

Not according to the ultra right wing Heritage Foundation:

"In response to the coronavirus pandemic, state governments are flexing their emergency powers. Some states have issued orders requiring people entering the state to self-quarantine for at least two weeks. Some of these orders, such as Rhode Island’s, apply to all visitors. Others, such as Texas’s, apply only to visitors from certain states with relatively high numbers of coronavirus cases (Texas singled out travel from, among other places, Louisiana and Florida, where Mardi Gras and spring break celebrations created ripe conditions for the coronavirus to spread).

These self-quarantine requirements raise constitutional questions. Do they violate the constitutional right to travel between the states? Are they unconstitutional restrictions on interstate commerce?

The answer to both those questions is most likely “No.” These self-quarantine requirements are legitimate exercises of states’ power to protect their people’s health against the coronavirus pandemic."

Remember, you’re dealing.

Apdst: Attorney At Law.

Vague legal concepts he barely comprehends is his sword.

Florida had a 14 day quarantine rule for people from NY and a few other states

True but he is angry at Dems who do the same thing- when Repubs do it, all is good. Dems do it, sky is falling, civilization is crumbling.
War will be waged in the streets
