Republicans fear disaster in November | TheHill

Republicans are privately fearing the worst possible outcome in November, one that could leave them without the White House or a majority in either chamber of Congress next year.

House Republicans face numerous, almost insurmountable obstacles: a cash shortfall against the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, 27 retiring lawmakers and a Republican National Committee that is more focused on reelecting President Trump and protecting the Senate GOP majority. They also need to pick up a net 17 seats to win back the House.

While Republicans noted the political landscape appears to change by the day, some are expressing a growing sense of doom.

“If the election were today, we would lose the House, the Senate and the White House,” said one Republican source.

November couldn't come soon enough.

Well, yeah, look at all the ways they are trying to game the system. Destroy the Post Office, cut short the census count, sue to stop mail-in ballots. I mean, working to get Kayne West on the ballot. In the immortal words of Joe Biden, "C'mon man."

I have a modicum of faith in the American people that they see Trump for the dangerous con man grifter he is and Biden will win and the Democrats will gain a majority in the Senate and take away Moscow Mitch's power. But first and foremost we have to get rid of Trump because he is a danger to our Freedom, Democracy and Constitution.

The American voter doesn't elect the president or the vice president.

70% of supporters enthusiastic about voting for trump? That seems low.

Isn't it time we do? One person, one vote.

I prefer one person three votes.

Vote by mail, vote at the poll and your online vote can stay public until two weeks before the election.

Eliminates the need for pollsters.

Their resources can be directed toward other activities.

I'll second that.

Get this Republican monkey pile off me.

Good news though, my suffering is not in vain if we take the House and Senate.

Ever since they passed their tax cut I have been out to get them for how they behaved* with Obama at my cost and they know they must match me with Pence to have any chance to win.

Bunch of desperate animals, very un-Christian for the Reich they want to usher in.

*They took a surplus and booming economy, cut taxes and said, "We're going to borrow it." Handed over an economic crisis and then said, "No more borrowing, no raising revenue, no more stimulus, "Failed Stimulus!" No education, no minimum wage, any in a timely manner, how are you going to pay for Obamacare? Repeal Obamacare and have them nothing. Let's cut taxes for the rich again so we can crash and they can choke up and have it impossible. Let's cheat for our SCOTUS. Shut down the Government. Trump's economy. (a rev-ed up piston breaking its shaft) Impeach Trump. Bankrupt the Country. Slap Ten-Trillion and only give Obama $250."

I hope that they are soundly thrashed at to polls for at least the next couple elections. The party needs to be punished.

My view exactly.

But how do we do it so they don't pull their tax cut again?

I don't know. My only choice is to vote against every last one of them. I hope it's enough.

If there was an online ballot, I would learn the choices and vote like Congress, where you can change your vote up to the deadline.

Well, it goes a lot farther with the Resonant Mind If I don't just say, "Here is my unbiased viewpoint." But, "Here is my brother or sister's, they think the same thing."

Well there you go. The election is in the bag. You can kick back and relax this November.

No, we can kick ass until November.

Remember what it is for*:

*They took a surplus and booming economy, cut taxes and said, "We're going to borrow it." Trump gives Gov DeWine the kiss of death after DeWine tests positive for COVID. Trump quips "He'll be fine". Hope your Will is updated Mike.

To the thread title... yeah, I fear the disaster known as Biden will get elected.

Perhaps they could devote a modicum of attention or concern to the actual disasters befalling the United States right now, instead of just worrying about their own hides.
